hey guys
i signed up for FT and stars without rakeback deals
ive played about 200 games in the last week or so on stars and have paid about 50 euros in rake.....which is a shocking amount

i definatly want some of that back

i understand i wont be able to get rake on stars or FT because of already being a member, so which site is good for micro limit ($10 husngs)

thanks

has anyone checked out virgin poker for HUSNGS?, as it has a casino and bingo so will also attract alot of casual gamers

Pokerstars offers a rewards program to all of it's players that can be equivalent to rakeback. You really need to get to Platinum star or better for it to be competitive with other offers. Look it up in google searching for "pokerstars rakeback equivalent" or the 2p2 forums.

If you opened a FT account through an affiliate rather than the actual FT site itself, then you're SOL when it comes to rakeback. If you originally opened your account directly through FT, you may be able to get rakeback on your account. You'll need to email support and ask for rakeback. They'll respond (several days later) saying that they don't offer it but will refer your screen name to their "preferred affiliate", rakebackpros.com. The affilliate will likely contact you (several days later) saying that you either are not eligible for rakeback, or that they'd be happy to offer you rakeback "when it becomes available". If it's the latter, you'll likely receive another email (several days later) saying "congratulation, you are now eligible for rakeback". This is the process I went through to obtain rakeback for my FT account. I'd suggest you at least try it.

If you cannot get rakeback from FT, there are numerous other sites that offer rakeback deals. Look at tagpoker's rakeback page to find some of them.

Best of luck!

Never played HU sngs on Virgin, but I have used the site for sngs in the past - and it's one of the best customer service poker rooms around imo.

Didn't expect anything less from the brand but yeah v good I had a 28% rb deal with them a while back before I donked my br off playing 100$ don's!!!!!! =p

Never tried Virgin myself but I can't imagine that Branson would run a bad room, it's just not his style.

For games though I'd say that AP, UB, Cake would all be good options?
PKR is a cool room and the graphics are fun, I hear it's getting much bigger and the competition is pretty soft because not many grinders play there as they can only play like 4 tables??

There are quite a few to choose from but they are my first thoughts.

Good luck with your choice, be sure to let us know how it goes?

From first impressions i would say stars and tilt are better software overall, but thats not to say virgin is bad, if for example stars and tilt are 10 out of 10 virgin id say about 7.5 out of 10.

There is a couple of things that annoy me
1. if you go to showdown you cant see your opponents cards, only if they win. As there is no hand replayer like on stars

2. the headsup sng blind structure isnt that good compared to stars. For example virgins 'normal' game is like a super turbo on stars it misses out the 10/20 and also the 75/150 levels making it almost a shove fest after like 2 levels of blinds which sucks. But it does have slower versions where the blinds take longer to go up.

I played the slower versions so my skill edge was negated by the shove fest that is the normal husng on virgin. When I did i found the players to be SSOOOO bad, so tight passive or loose passive that after 5-6 hands into each game it felt like the only way i could of lost is if i was stupid enough to make some pretty big mistakes. In fact in the one game i did make a big mistake and still won.

So if your looking for soft competition which i think is easier than stars n ftp at the 10 euro level its a good place.

Absolute Poker is a good site if you put in a lot of volume. They have reload bonuses 6 or 7 times a month. I'm not sure what their HUSNG structure is like, but I always used to like their full ring and 6 max structures. Nice and slow blind increases. Was usually play left in them when you got to heads up, rather than shove and fold mode.

The traffic on their normal sng's isn't that great though, so I imagine HUSNG are much the same.
