I know it's at a miniscule level. 6 buyins in the grand scheme isn't a lot. But I have to accept that others spewing is a strategy that works for them a % of the time.
The positive I take is that of everyone who beats me in HUSNG 99% don't want a rematch, which I assume is a good thing. Those that do tend to be stations on a heater or those that suck out and go mental.
I'm still relatively new in terms of hands seen and games played, all part of the education. |

Yep. Swings are just something you get used to imo. When I first started, I couldn't imagine what I would feel if I lost $50 in a day lol. But i've had a $500 two day swing back and forth already, and didn't feel a thing. _________________ 'Yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation' yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation. |

On the comeback trail
Reassessed where I am and how much I am going to play. Gonna study more than play for a while. Steady progress. Thanks for all the help so far....

Started to use a HUD with more information on it and had a steady build after my late night monkey tilt session mid month. Ground back from 7 buy ins down for one day to a 50% win rate for the month, 53.7% winrate for the year.
Studying more than playing at present, was 8 buyins down at one point so glad of the fightback.
Back to -$1.50 for the month woop woop, $3.54 up for the year.
Since my restart I am currently a winning player

Running badly.
I'm keeping up with the study, reviewing hands and watching lots of videos.
Am going through the hyper turbo Chadders course to expand my knowledge of endgame and may help my volume issues applying sound principles to hypers. Also have the standard HUSNG videos to go over.
Understanding variance and poor play much more.
Learnt how to work out my ev using pokertracker. Simply divide difference between the expected and actual chips won and divide by $1500 to work out ev adjusted buyins at reg speed.
Conversely divide by $500 once I've played 200 or so hypers.
Planning to mix both game types as they train the poker brain differently. Have read Jared's book on The Mental Side of things and like everything you have to experience something to truly appreciate it.
I know I am improving as a player, but have many leaks to plug as time goes by but for me, I had to KNOW I was running poorly as to spend a lot of time at regular speed micro buyins and be losing for me is a bit sould destroying playing so many spew monkeys and stations yet running bad was not filling me with confidence and motivation.
From this I'm about 18 buyins down on reular speed HUSNG's.
I actually am a lot happier seeing this and understanding the variance better.
This gives me an ev adjusted rough win rate of 61% at the micro stakes.
Just keep going....
It's my first ever moment of not caring about the result, but to know my process of playing is improving. |

Just looking through my stats and seeing obvious leaks.
Stopped calling draws without the odds as much.
Analysed my shove and my call shove stats
First up Villain Shoved, Hero called
Then the Hero Shoved, Villain called
I was getting down with my play, and can see many leaks but I am just running horribly bad in the endgame atm
Sorry this isn't as much about bankroll as my current state of play. Am working hard though.
Around 7 buyins down. Ding well considering my stats |
