It almost makes me laugh when you are talking about big whales at 50NL and the horrible players at 100NL. The 25NL & 50NL games on PokerStars started getting tougher two and half years ago (about the time I started NL cash games).

I spent time over this last summer playing 4NL on Carbon Poker.  I just won some $1 freerolls, so I dabbled on Carbon at the lowest stakes. I couldn't believe how aggro many of those players were for those stakes. I hate to say it, but there are some pretty damn decent players playing 4NL on Carbon.

The "competition" on betonline is unbelievable. I always tell people if I knew back in 1999 what I know now, I would have been playing much higher stakes. Perhaps I will get the chance...

Does your "bet amount box" allow you to enter a decimal point for precise betting amounts. Mine doesn't...Brokerstar is actually the only I've heard that says it works. I have chatted with several people on the site and haven't found another person that it works for.

Yeh games on the major sites are certainly very tough nowadays. You're lucky to get one big fish at a table, and then be sat with 4 other regs. I've always been really lazy where table selection is concerned and it's no doubt cost me a lot in the past. It's just great for the time being on BetOnline not having to worry about any of this and sit any table, and be able to instantly be playing at least 3 fish!! In future I will look at playing stars and ipoker games at the higher levels, and just dread how hard it's gonna be to actually produce a reasonable win rate Sad

I can use decimals in making bet sizing decisions! I couldn't before with version one of their software, but since moving to 'BetOnline 2' two to three weeks ago, this problem seems to have been solved.

Really have been going through a tough period lately. Overall I'm 20 buyins down from my peak of about $2100.

Session length (playing too long, losing focus) was possibly an issue, but I've certainly stamped that out this week and began taking breaks. What's happened truly has been utterly ridiculous, and brutal to swallow.

I do admit there were a few sizeable errors around the middle of this downswing, which were certainly inexcusable. But the last 4 sessions I really have been extremely happy with my game and am confident I'm not leaking any EV to these utter fools through misjudgement.

The whole shebang of forms of run bad has been seen; excessive coolers, bad beats, running into the tops of peoples ranges, nut bad cards killing my action, boards consistently running out in dire manners etc etc.

Just gonna soldier on and battle through this, I'm making a ton of money G-bucks wise if only my actual results would 'catch up'. Missing having a monitor and so being able to grind on PC. Also the lack of poker analytical/tracking software is a real bummer because the most important thing about that for me really is post-game analysis and leak finding. I suppose for now I can resort to recording every session and trying to review the next day.

Not being able to use Flopzilla is really pissing me off too, as it was beginning to help me understand ranges to that next level Sad

This post has already been longish, so I shan't extend too long but to say in future I might I include more bloggy type things about life in general so as to help me reflect on my day-to-day existence etc etc.

Peace x

I have recently advanced to 10NL. I tried yesterday to enter a decimal...with SUCCESS. However, I am still unable to use a decimal at the 6NL and 2NL games. VERY puzzling...those are the games you need it the most.

Now, I have a different problem that prevents me from using the decimal and Bet Amount Box: every time I attempt to enter a value, the software goes DINGDING-DINGDING and resets the value. Well, not every time, but very often. Whenever action on other tables arises, it does this, and sometimes even without other tables needing action.

Why are you unable to use Flopzilla? Did you only have a trial version? I purchased CREV (StoxEV) a couple years ago and it was one of the best poker investments I made. I am going to buy Flopzilla pretty soon.

Just played a 3 hour session that was pretty mental if I'm being honest. I think there were a couple of very interesting spots I got into, and buy and large I'm happy with the decisions I made.

Off the top of my head, the only decision I think that was possibly suspect was deciding to fire barrel number 3 after missing my nut flush draw; I got slowrolled by a flopped top two in the end.

Very swingy 3 hours. With only one hour gone I was on the brink of tears at what I was seeing. I was negative 5 buyins, with my entire profit on this site almost completely ruined. Pretty typical occurrences tbh; with a notable early hand being the time I 4b AKo, cbet the flop small on a J high board, turned my Ace only to have villain stack off with his 88 and  then miraculously bink his 2 outer on the river. 240bb pot to the champion in seat no. 3, gg.

I started screen capping soon after this, and did so for the remaining 100 mins of my session. Now came the boostage! I overcame my 5 buyin early losses and continued until I finished up almost 4 buyins for the session Very Happy

I finished at 2:30am to attempt an early night. My sleeping patterns/waking hours have increasingly got rather antisocial and become a total drain on my energy levels :/ I recognise the importance of routine and structure in one's life, and so in the following week I shall make efforts to start living a more 'normal' life again; less all nighters, more fresh air, less social isolation, more exercise. Crushing, or at least reasonably profiting from, this site is a real must at this time. One of the first things on my shopping list when I'm able to cashout is a renewal of my Fitness First gym membership! Seriously missed being able to pump iron recently ;..(

Gonna try and watch at least one poker video a day from now on. I have literally thousands of items of poker training content, and hardly ever diligently manage to go through entire series/books etc.

GL in your games LADs. Peace
