yeah... I agree. I've read this twice now and learned things about myself and poker. _________________ When the world says, “Give up”. Hope whispers, “Try it one more time" |

| Great post. It's very inspiring, but also makes me ashamed of my own lack of resolve and moral fortitude. |

Excellent post but to truly understand it you have to go through it. I think there comes a point when you downswing so hard that you just think F it and rather than lock in wins or cut sessions short you just force yourself to grind it out and you truly do not care about results and obviously make sure that you continue you to make correct decisions. My variance also comes from the fact I sit so many regs but tbh my results are all against regs lol the brutal downers came from the 1k's and running like crap vs fish for so long.
I think since you wrote this you have had some decent results which is solid, currently trying to grind my way out of the damage too , up around 5ke over the last 2 days which helps , next year tho we should prop for the .fr leaderboard spot (altho gunna be playing a ton on .com and ftp when its back up).
What you said about the pressure is so so true, I feel exactly the same and sometimes I Feel like I just cant do this anymore but thats only at the most extreme points, When people want to play this game for a living (myself included when I first did) I honestly couldnt even comprehend just how much this would engulf me emotionaly and by that I dont just mean "Tilting" it really does affect your moods and demenour outside of the tables and just how much time all aspects of the game would take up. To be able to continue playing this game , constantly work at your game evolving and adapting through the worst runs of your life is what makes a true professional and until you get to test yourself against the real animal of poker is weather or not you know you can make it in this game. Morgan has proved himself non stop since going fulltime and is what you guys on this site should look to aspire too. I wouldnt trade this job for anything
Sorry for the rant its just unreal how much I can relate to this post, thanks for the kind words |

Great post.

I have often wondered how many potentially awesome poker players started their career during a horrific downswing and quit before it got good. |
