Hey all,
I am offering free coaching/help for 2 players off this site - HUSNG coaching and working together on another poker game variant.
I've already ran this by Brokerstar and he has given me permission to make and post a thread here.
Why am I offering my help?
Basically, I am making some life-style adjustments. I had become a bit (very) lazy etc and after seeing some programs on tv and reading the tagpoker lifestyle change thingy thread decided that I needed to do the same and make some adjustments in my life.
I'm offering my help, as it will help motivate me again. By coaching some player's I will basically give myself something to do - keeping myself motivated and getting myself into a decent cycle, and forcing myself to actually do things, learn more, improve. Something i've been lazy/lacking in recent months due to not motivating myself. In return you get my help and (some ) expertise.
So to sum it up, I help you - and in return your helping me.
Who am I?
I'm kojn1 (icemanv6), I'm 25 years old, been a tagpoker member for quite some time now. I like to play poker/learning to do sports trading in my spare time.

Leakfinder video for tagpoker member: http://www.viddler.com/explore/kojn1/videos/2/
$50 HUSNG video: http://www.viddler.com/explore/kojn1/videos/1/ (Needs to be downloaded for some reason it's messed up with streaming).
Pre-Requisites
* This offer is only open to UK/European players, the reason being due to time differences, and it will be too much hassle for me to work with player's outside these regions due to this.
* You have already done one of Brokerstars course's, condensed version or full.
* You are a breakeven/slightly/winning player.
* Preferably you are at the micro's/low stakes ($1 or below - $10-15 games).
* You are willing to take part in group work, have a desire to improve your game, are a worker, not a shirker.
* Are available atleast once a week minimum (obviously due to circumstances you might not be able to make a session which is fine), for groupwork, weds/sunday evenings. I will be available other evenings also, but obviously I need my own time to play/do my own things.
What can I offer?
I can help improve certain aspects of your game. I am not the best player in the world nor do I proclaim to be! I make mistakes just like any normal human being. I have taken time out from playing poker but I still know what I'm doing in the majority of situations and have not lost the majority of knowledge I gained.
I should hopefully be able to improve your overall game, but will help you to improve adjusting to your opponent quickly and help you to focus on patterns/errors not just in your opponent's game, but also your own.
Build your confidence up slowly, and help you to start thinking more about your actions, when and why we bet in certain spots, and slowly build up your thought processes.
You will be able to view and watch me play game's at the same level as yourself, you will be able to ask me questions as I play.
I will offer leakfinder video's on game's that you have found hard, opponent's you struggled with, or if you want guidance in general just on your game. I am a one man band, so I will try my best to get them done, but I work full-time. 4 days a week and am basically up at 6:30am and back home at 7pm, so my time is limited, so please have some patience.
I'm hear to help you learn and improve yourself! You will not be ridiculed if you make mistakes. I've worked my way up from the bottom before, so I know what it's like and how hard it can be so you can learn from my past experiences.
More stuff that i've not listed here that I cannot think of at the moment
What do I expect from you?
* Have a good work ethic, and the desire to want to improve your poker.
* Interest in wanting to learn another variant of poker along with myself(not critical to applying for this, but it would be nice).
* Be friendly and courteous.
Who has helped me in the past/who have I got coaching from before?
The majority of coaching i've had has been from Brokerstar, Kierkegaard1 and borg7.
I was originally coached by Brokerstar, from doing his condensed course.
I have had 1 or 2 paid coaching sessions with Kierkegaard1 off here in, and borg has given up his free time in the past to help sweat me with games and helped introduce a lot of new end-game concepts to me in the past.
Hopefully this answers the majority of questions, I'm sure there is several people off here who can vouch for me, and i've helped out a few player's in the past when i've had the time.
There will be the possibility of further options in the future for whoever take's me up on my offer (staking etc).
There's only 2 slots, this is so that I can give as much attention as possible to you in the time I have, in terms of leakfinder videos/quality of coaching I can offer.
If your interested, just give a brief description of the level your at, why your interested in the coaching, and any past experience. Also obviously why you'd be a good candidate for me to work with. You don't have to write an essay or anything, just be honest with your goals/expectations etc
Thanks for reading! _________________ zSolo - "[23:16:21] Aaron Watson - zSolo: True poker players keep a bottle next to them and just piss in that

I would be very interested in this offer.
Background
I started last year playing and being a small cash game, SNG and MTT winner before I found this site and turned to HUSNGs. I started off great and went from 2’s to 10s before life took over.
I have the time to concentrate on poker playing Monday to Friday putting in a lot of volume/study time. Currently playing the 2’s on William Hill and the 7’s on Pokerstars whilst going through Brokers course which ive finished.
I think I’ll be a great candidate because I have a great work effort and will be able to commit many hours. I have a long term passion to succeed at poker and become at least a $100 reg.
Would also like to say that iceman has been very helpful in the past and anyone seriously looking to take poker seriously needs to consider this.
Many Thanks |

Hey,
What an amazing offer!
About me
I'm 20 years old and started playing poker about a year ago.
At the very beginning I started playing 6max cash games, and have done it primarily in the time I have played poker.
Only to give HUSUNG's a try several times, mainly becuase it is the format I enjoy the most, by far. I would eventually always end up back in cash games, as I was a break-even HUSNG player,
and it always felt like such a personal war to me, which gave me some tilt issues.
I have recently switched to Boyle Poker (iPoker), and have also done Brokerstars condensed course.
I am rolled to play 5$ HUSNG, but I want to move up from the lowest levels while I am still new/learning the game, and therefore play the 2$ games. Plus, I've always felt it is such an achivement when you have done well enough, to be able to move up in stakes
I have a lot of time during the week to play poker, and can put in good volume, which I think makes me a good candidate.
Best of luck with the project, even if you don't choose me.

Hey mate,
This is what makes this site so good when people are happy to put back into this site.
My background has been quite varied when it comes to poker, as i have tried many forms of the game, and recently taking a serious shot at HUSNG. It has been travelling well, but i have always wanted to work with a solid player, together with a group, to push us along to become solid winning players.
I have considered working on my cash game as well, and feel i have a good understanding of the fundamentals, so this may be of some use to you.
To summarize it all, i am looking at working with someone that can help me iron out constant leaks that i seem to have, and to also work with someone to help push me along to the higher stakes. Currently a b/e maybe slightly losing overall player, but definately have the drive to become a better player. Working through the $7 reg speed at the moment.
I would like to talk to you in regards to timezone difference, as in my line of work, my work hours are very flexible, and i know i would make this work.
Hopefully talk to you soon.
Regards

Hi guys.
Would like to say, thanks to everyone who applied. I've decided to go go for the following three people (was originally going to be two, but I've made it 3 as I couldn't really turn down one person out of these 3).
These are the one's who impressed me, due to activity/progress/ or willingness to learn..not that other didn't ofcourse, but I only can take on limited numbers for the time being so that the amount of time I can offer is decent
fsanasana (probably spelt this wrong!): Very honest message and great detail, will probably work with you separately as your ahead in terms of what playing level your at, but obviously invited into group sessions when you have the availability. No need to worry about amount of volume with me, just go at your own pace mate
TheLittleFish: Asked for my help sometime ago and has been in contact regularly, made decent progress before, before having to slow down due to circumstances, so hopefully we can get you moving along at a quicker pace up the stakes.
DN70: Has made a really quick and impressive start since doing the learning, and I think we get you up to the higher stakes fairly rapidly with probably a few tweaks to your game, to work on a few area's to give you a more solid base as you move up.
Too Kolonel and spike2k, depending on how I get on with this, I may be able to help you guys out in the future. For Kolonel I think the time difference for the time being may have caused some issues, and since this will be the first time I'll be doing this, I preferred people from my own time-zone or as close as possible too it. That's the only reason why as you've obviously been a member for quite some time and are obviously willing to learn. Spike2k, keep on learning and stay active on the forum.
'I've always felt it is such an achivement when you have done well enough, to be able to move up in stakes'
And you'll soon be doing this ^^^^^
fsansana I'll PM you my skype ID.
First session will begin next week, can you msg me on skype when you are available, preferably weds/sunday evening but if not just let me know when you are available as I can work around it (and time, fsanasana - I presume your +1 or +2 ahead of UK time, I think it's +1 for Portugal right?), there just my preferred days for group work. _________________ zSolo - "[23:16:21] Aaron Watson - zSolo: True poker players keep a bottle next to them and just piss in that
