Zipps Bankroll Building ThreadHi guys.
I have lurked a lot through the forum, but never got really active by myself. So I thought it`s time to start a bankroll thread.
This is my overall graph at Stars.
I have bought Brokestars Condensed Course a few months ago (at 500), but never made it to lesson 4 and stopped watching videos on the side. Damn I am so lazy!
Then I multitabled Hu Sngs (at 700), because I thought that`s the fastest way to build a roll. Wroooong. At least for me. I played like a robot and wasn`t really adjusting to my opponents. And that`s poor thing. I forgot why I way playing poker in the first place: For FUN!
So last week I decided to watch the condensed course videos again and I am feeling great. Poker makes way more fun if you really think through every decision and want to crush the other guy.
This is my graph at the $1.5 turbos after getting back on the track.
Now I will try the $3.5s, watch every video on the side and read every hand review.
Current BR: $94.26
Good luck everyone!

Good stuff, hopefully you'll be moving up soon. What do you play with, 30 buy ins?

Zipps

Ok so I played a few more $1.5s and it worked great:
But I am having a hard time at the $3.5s:
At least at the start. But than there was this awesome night where I thought. Hi it`s 5am, I am drunk and I don`t wanna sleep so let`s play poker. And I sucked. Even at the next day. I just completely lost my confidence till i won 3 matches against a real loose passive player. He called me down 3 streets with J high no draw and bluffed me never(he checked down 2. pair), so my call on the next hand wasn`t that great but it`s still very funny. Unfortunately the hand history converter freaked out

A few things that i have learned are:
-Never play drunken.
-Start to think more longterm, then results oriented.
-Stop berating people in the chat like a kid
BR stands at $188.25 after I have received my last money from Full Tilt.

Hi guys.
I stopped playing for a while and visit a friend in Munich for 2 weeks and had a great time in Spain also. Well after that i decided to start over again at Pokerstars.fr with 150€ to use Brokestars awesome coaching offer and had a pretty lucky start.
Now I will go over the condensed course material again and after that I will attack the 5€ games. But on this sunny day it`s time to go to the lake.
|
Zipps
|
Long story short. Everything was fantastic till i took a 10€ shot and failed pretty hard. But I played really bad after I lost the first game there.
So it`s just tilting and playing bad over the last 100 games. I also tried a hyper aggressive approach, but ya it sucked
Now I will go over my notes again and then watch out 10€ games!

The graph tells a solid story. You have what it takes to beat the 10s.

This is all very true, you do have what it takes.
just stick to the fundamentals that got all of your graphs off to the good start (EVERY TIME). I'm not saying to never experiment but don't fear slightly higher buy in levels as I promise you they are the same game until you get to a level where others are playing for a living.
You've learnt the condensed course really well now I would team up with other winning players and do game reviews with each other and share more ideas about what's working for you.
The main thing is just don't play tilted. I will help you through the 10 euro games just know that you have all the tools you need to beat them but I can not control mental stability

Thx mates. Mental stability is probably the biggest thing I need to improve. I think I will buy "The Mental Game of Poker".
But for now I am looking at my new wallpaper, whenever I am feeling angry

Ok I think I am back on the track. I won sth. like 25 buy ins in the last 100 games. Just 3 and 5 euro games but at least I am having my confidence back

Told you you could do it!
Be weary of being over confident (you'll know what I mean if this ever happens and even if you do make this mistake by spewing your BR or a months work its a set of very valuable lessons worth learning in itself) and find that balance of control +EV well considered decisions and a little bit of emotion (not too high and never too low)!
Make every buy in count especially on an upswing!
Keep going you'll be at the 20s in no time......

Yes 20s are my goal at the moment and I hope I am able to play there in a month.
I also reviewed my hands at my last 10€ shot and in almost every big spot i made a mistake. Called a c/r with T8 on a Q84 board vs. a passive player,
called a c/r with 83s on a 949 board vs. a Maniac who never folds and tried to bluff him on a 4 turn card. Best play would have been a fold pre but as
played i should have checked that flop behind even with no showdown value. Versus another player who opens 100% and folds also almost never postflop
I 3bet with with A4s, cbet on a QT3, 2. barrel on a 3 turn and 3 barrel all in on a 3 river. Just stupid all the way. Never bluff a call station!
At least I could improve my mental discipline. Loose a game because I played bad and be able to spot my mistakes - OK. Loose a game because I played good just because of variance - OK.
My endgame also imporoved a lot, because of Brokestars endgame vids. I think i am getting better every day and thats a good sign!

Thx mates. Well a few things happened:
-I played some hypers at stars.com to improve my endgame and now I am having a better clue about 3bet shoving math and calling ranges. Even it is more or less useless at low stakes reg speeds I am still glad I did it.
-I had to switch from moneybookers to neteller, because my bank thought moneybookers is a dishonest bank. But my bank is pretty provincial so they are curious about everything.
-I'll go to a casino with a few friends at 19.11. and there is a 2/4€ game running. First I thought it's a 1/2 game but I will still try it for fun. But I think I will just buy in with 50bb or sth. like that^^ I never played live so after I noticed that Brokestar is doing so well at Betonline I thought hi lets try to get the money for the casino that way. 5 days ago I started with 100$ and so far I am on the right path
My goal is to spin it up to 500$ for the casino and the rest I will add to my ~450€ roll at stars.fr to play the 10s/20s after that casino trip.
I also played a really weird hand today. It was a limped multiway pot with 5 guys on the flop and I had Qd6d. The flop came Kh7d3d, one guy bets 1/2 pot, 1 caller and I called with the flush draw. Turn was Ts, the same guy bets 1/4 pot, other guy called again and me for sure too. River was sweet. 4d which gave me the flush. So because they looked weak I decided to bet out a little under 2/3 pot and the guy who had bet all the way called me with the NUT FLUSH and didn't raised. He basically semi bluffed 2 streets to just call when he hits the nuts. So bizarre

Well I am back at Betonline and I decided to stick to it for a while. I need some money for study and i don't want to work in a crappy part time job. So I withdraw my stars.fr br. I am playing NL 50 atm with some NL 100 shots. In the last few weeks I read the new easy game. So everyone who woulds like to talk about 6 max strategy hit me up on skype: zipswip

Yes I am running pretty well atm. At first I was a little scared at Nl100, but know I am getting used to it. Nl200 here I come, hopefully

Didn't played too much today, but I am still happy with 1 1/2 buy ins at these ultra aggressive nl100 games. Not sure whats going on today, but everybody 3bets like an idiot. Jenna83 is the most aggressive player I ever saw in a 6max game. Sometimes when she is in the mood, she 3bets or iso raises with almost any 2 cards regardless of in or out of position. Seriously she played in one 200 hand session 60/60!! It took me awhile to understand that 3betting with broadways and higher pairs is the way to beat here, because she is also calling a lot of 3bets.

sweet start today:
noa makes so many mistakes, but he is winning all the time. He won at least 1k in the last few days. grrrrrr. whatever rise and repeat. losing a 65% preflop ai is not the end of the world.

i am too mad to convert a hand history, a picture is faster.
wtf is this? he limp/called with 65o just to hit a full house!
i especially love my stupid comment in the chat box. a few hands before that he min c/r with a flush draw, i called with top pair, he bet again and hits 3. pair on turn, i call and on the river he hits his trips. such a joke how lucky and bad those idiots are. enough crying, its christmas and i should be happy that i gave some presents away. i am the santa claus of betonline.

Time to study the mental game of poker. The last time I just read it and that was the wrong approach to deal with this book. But now it's time for christmas and new years eve stuff.
