i'm thinking about quitting/postponing uni for 1-2 year and move to uk/malta to focus on poker and dodge taxes. just gotta convince my parents that i'm not gonna be an uneducated busto degen in 5 years.

Coolness defined in terms of things to do/places to visit or scenery? London is popular with many clubs/bars/restarants/you name it, but is pretty expensive. You could also live in some other cities, though I have my own prejudices which I do not want to disclose on a public forum 
You could be a baller and go live somewhere like Guernsey/Jersey (a stone's throw away from Fulltilt headquatres fwiw) or like a country house in Scotland or w/e but you may get bored since there's no one close around you. In all seriousness, Blazing's back room doesn't sound too bad either

Yeah you got London, which has something for everyone. Hot chicks everywhere you look! Other places i'd recommend would be Edinburgh, Bristol, Brighton, Cambridge, Oxford are alll pretty nice but a bit quieter with lots of culture and stuff going on! All depends what you're looking for...where does Blazing live? |

London is good, but high cost of living, but I guess if you are making that much money who gives a shit ! Getting an appartment in London wont be cheap though.
I live in the Midlands, which in all honesty is pretty dull, and I don't really have the room for you sorry, got another child on the way now but I'd love it if you moved round here !
As a young person, I'd prob choose London if I was doing what you planned, but if I had to choose somewhere to live, would be Devon, or that area, very nice part of the country, but a long way from anywhere ! |

borg you're hilarious. a decent apartment will cost you around $2k p/m and thats not luxurious at all. and around 20mins from central london.
no idea about other Q's. i wont be planning on paying taxes in oz when i move there, though. |

Hull in the UK Borg Got a port so you can go on the ferry to places across the water, its cheap..really it is, people are friendly up here and its got the highest teenage pregnancy / STD rates in the UK I believe. What more can you ask for?
Oh and 700pounds a month would get you a huge marina apartment here probably less. |

Of all the places in the world to go and live, I can honestly say, Hull would be one of the last I would choose. Awful place No offence or anything, it's not great in Walsall either

I have been a few times, mainly to watch football (and get drunk) so I really don't know that much about it, seems a depressing place at first glance though, and the accent is odd to say the least. |

Yes Blazing that was my exact thoughts also, but a lot of the city has been modernised and been re-developed, same with the Marina, a workmate has a flat over-looking a river, very nice it is I have to say. And yes, the accent can be pretty damn amusing haha
