wtf! Fake Anti-spywareJust got infected by a fake anti-spyware called ms removal tool. It shut 2 of my games down while I had a 2-1 chiplead, and someone crippled to 80 chips!! And couldnt reopen!!! because the exe was infected, while it was not.. I just kept wondering, I never installed that program, where did it come from? Stupid... gfmmlkhgomqsgGoddamn!! you stupid **** you're costing me moneyz!!! Easy fix, but still.. the tragedy! there a bit of rant.. Lost 8 buy-ins last 2 weeks, due to internet problems, computer freezing and well this thing... Ok ok, I'll clean up my computer. Djeez. |

And thats whats giving you the problems! The program The Angler has send you the link for might have been a legit one but you have to think about installing anything before you actualy do it. A lot of software, especialy the free software, has extra software comming with it wich can easily do more harm than good. Before you install anything you just have to research if this piece of software is actualy doing what it is supposed to do AND if that will be the only thing it will be doing. |

My partner was showing our daughter who charlie chaplin was, hit a link on the website, and got ms removal virus. getting crazy these days. wasn't hard to remove but was a pain in arse non the less. | ||

have you got rid of the problem??? noscript is good for blocking stuff but the actual antispyware thing is a virus that you have to get rid of!
Another thing is to always make sure you have the latest windows patches etc |

I almost got rid of it with an anti-virus, but he wouldn't remove it unless I registered. Jackass. I think I'm just going to do a total format, my pc is messy anyway (10 error notifications on startup, always too lazy to do something about it). | ||

No need to reformat man just to get rid of the thing.
Download malwarebytes' anti malware (free version is all you need) http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Run a full scan with that and it should solve your problems. You could probably do with installing CCleaner as well, it will get rid of all the junk files cluttering up your computer - it can also scan your registry and get rid of the parts that aren't necessary. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner nachtwacht is 100% right don't install anything on your computer without checking it out first, just google the name of the software and read reviews etc. |

for the MS removal tool virus you will also need to download unhide.exe as it will relocate all your drives and destop items, to make you believe it has actually corrupted your hard drive (it hasnt) | ||

hey platinum.. which software did u use?
i have a weird virus where it always asks me 'chose the program you want to use to open this file' and i always have to go to the actual location in the C drive and find it... it's so stupid and such a waste of time... and it's not allowing me to reformat, cause the reformat disk isn't working and some other software can't install either (like the program u guys use on skype for sweat sessions  )
