White FlagI've met some really nice people on this site i was here at the beginning when we all started out with Brokers offer of coaching and have seen how people have grown and built an awesome game and bankrolls, but i just seem to get nowhere, if i'm honest i sit down at the start of a game now and feel why am i bothering i know im gonna get bumed out on, and i know thats a stupid state of mind to play in but cant seem to shake out of it.
I thought i'd address this by getting myself in shape, so i started eating healthy working out, getting myself in good form life wise and ive lost 4 stone and feel great (i'm in the best shape of my life) i thought this would prepare me for the ups and downs of this game and life, when infact it has life wise but poker wise its made me rage tilt worse then ever and after every bad beat i'm convinced poker sites cannot be trusted even if i win the game i'm like yeah i'll loose 2 in a row now (again stupid way to see it i know) loseing my money on full tilt didnt help that, i know it was only $300 but i'd grinded that from $45 and was well proud of myself i felt i was moveing foward but now im like mehhhhhhh !!! if that makes sense !
So like the title says i'm holdin up the white flag "i surrender" !
I cant even see myself playin this game for fun as i just dont enjoy it anymore.
I wish everybody on the site old and new the best in poker and life and also a great x-mas and new year !
And for the people who are making a living playing this game i take my hat off to you i really do
Peace

Half the battle is enjoying it mate. Life's too short to do something your don't enjoy, if you're good at it or not.
I must admit that although I never struggle to win at poker, I don't get the buzz that I used to when I first started playing, the novelty does wear off and if it wasn't for this site and my students, I imagine I'd of gone back to work in the city and maybe just played poker on the weekends.
