When can raise/folding for value be justified? Is this possible vs a good reg, or is it just for those loose passive types?
For example, if you hold As7s and minraise pre and get called, board comes Ks7h5h10cAh.
Your halfpot cbet is called on the flop, and you check back turn for pot control only to see a tiny 1/3 pot bet on the river.
Is a raise/fold otr here the best line?
I always felt that raise/folding seems really bad in general vs a good player, and it's not a good idea to over-rep your hand (you're repping a flush with this line)- but calling seems really weak, and raise/calling seems very loose.

You can not easily answer good or bad.
You have to calculate it all.
Wich hands would he call your raise with, wich hands would he raise you with, what is your equity against that range etc. etc. It will also depend on the odds.
Just a simple example. Lets just assume that raise calling and calling both are bad. (I am not saying that, just to explain the complications of the calculations you are facing) So the only correct option would be raise fold.
Now lets imagine there is 100 in the pot, he bets 30, you raise to 100 and he makes it 110. Yes, right, only 110 because those are all the chips he has left. He might just be frustrated and be throwing it all in. Thats a completely different story than if he would be raising to 300.
Therefore, what might be the right answer in a given situation, might be an incorrect answer in the same situation but with different odds.
There are just A LOT of variables to account for.

Hmm... Maybe it's because I'm being results oriented- since I always remember the times when I have raise/folded otr in spots like this (times when I was bluffed too). I haven't played in a while, and I'm struggling to think of a time when raising here got called by worse when villain isn't a fish...
Of course this depends on stacksizes as you mentioned- since if he has 110 left raising 100 with my hand is just terrible, as he will flat with bluffcatchers that I beat, and only shove flushes which I'll have to call (and maybe some bluffs), with no effect on fold equity.

Raise/folding is definitely fine, but w/ such short stacks in HUSNG's we rarely get those situations because we're putting in too much of our stack to raise/fold.
