very aggressive donks

Hey folks,

I´ve got problems with aggressive donkeys who always raise to 3 BB or 3bet my raises pre flop. if the flop comes out and i dont hit, they always bet. if i hit the flop and bet they fold...

when i don`t get cards the blinds reduce my stack often down to 1000 from 1500. if i´ve got playable hands like SC, high aces, JT 8T QJ K9 ... and i raise preflop, they 3bet me and the pot is far too big and when i don`t hit the board i don`t know what to do.

I´ve got no problems with other player types. only with these. can anyone help me ?

I am not the best to give you advice on this but I have been struggling with this type of player for some time so I have some experience.

Here are some ideas:
1) Tighten your calling range OOP
2) If they always 3 bet you then you can 4 bet shove many hands.
3) When you flop something decent such as middle pair or pair plus a draw you can shove the flop over their bet.

Basically these guys are never going to let you play small pots. So you need to not let them turn you into a pussy. If he is betting aggressively on every pot for example you know for a fact that he has bullshit most of the time. If you happen to hit a middle pair type hand you shouldn't be afraid to shove over the top. If you happen to bump into the top of his range then so be it. Don't let it bother you or affect your game. In the long run you will gain a lot more.

will definetly try this against these donkies.

is there any videos where a guy plays against one of these players and easily beat him ? i think this would be very helpful.

Think about what sort of boards you want to trap on and ones that you don't. It's bad to assume that we want to trap everytime we have value. Even against a terrible lag. For example you raise with AJo, he 3bets, you flat. The flop comes down A54o and he leads into you. What does a large raise accomplish? It's important to think about the reverse of this as well (yes you can pick off non-thinking lag's bluffs with a re-bluff in the right spots). For example what if he leads into you on this board when you miss? What hands will villain continue with against a raise?

On the other hand there are boards where his bluffs can have a lot of equity against you (ie you have AA on JT8ss), in this case trapping is not optimal. On very wet boards try to raise so that he has the last bet. Aggros love shipping in the final bet with their draw assuming fold equity they dont have. Plus a lot of times they just want to gamble.

You can also really mess with these guys using stacksizes as well. If you think they are bluffing do whatever possible to get about a potsized bet left in their stack on the river. It's pretty much an insta ship  Very Happy. Also like I said give them the last raise on draw heavy boards. Oh yeah, and don't think like this

Recent hands played against the same very tilted lag that may or may not be played correctly  Very Happy. I think I botched quite a few of these tbh, but I'll put myself out there for the criticism so I can learn as well. This player 3bet 95% and would bluff off his stack on almost any board. He also raised/re-raised any flop with top pair. Maybe they will generate some good discussion. The first hand is about 15h into the match before I realize just how out of control he is. I try (and fail) to take advantage of my extremely tight image with my first 3bet and to fold him off a marginal hand on the river.
