lol nice

3bet smaller
The Angler

Why 3bet smaller?
kierkegaard1

1) so villain calls a wider range
2) so we can balance w/bluffs without risking huge amounts
3) give villain pseudo fold equity w/bluff 4b shove

Ahhhh the wounded fish, monkey spazz bet... Simple but effective vs agrotards.

Thanks kierk.

I'm a little uneasy about balancing my 3 bet range against loose aggressive players because I find myself a little lost post flop if I 3 bet and miss. I think this stems from not being confident in establishing a likely calling range for my opponent, not wanting to fire a c bet with air oop vs a loose player and  the idea that if I 3 bet, miss and then check fold the flop am I playing badly.

Clearly an area I need to work on.

what does this mean?

3) give villain pseudo fold equity w/bluff 4b shove

Im confused.. thx.

We never 3b bluff this size, if we make it smaller villain might think he has fold equity 4b shoving (he does), but to this size he never does, so we can induce lighter shoves and snap with da aces.
