The real meaning of $EV adjusted ??

I know what the definition of the term is, but what is it really for ?

It just seems to be another filter to help us feel better about how we are playing, when we are having a bad run.  We cant actually bank any of it, it doesnt change the result of a game and it doesnt point out which hands of the game we did not play well.

So what is it really for, and how does it help me ?

I think it would be more helpful for cash games as long term that number is the amount of money you can expect to win when a hand plays out that way, doesn't really seem very useful for tournaments though.

Do you understand how it works? I can't explain it properly, but some googling/forum searching will show a lot of great posts/threads about it.

Basically, ignore it, or don't put much emotion into what it says. You might run bad in AIEV, or run good in it, but it's ONLY all in EV. For example, you might be running good in card distribution, how you're hitting flops, binking turns/rivers, etc etc, sssoooo many factors. I'd recommend not even looking at it, but it does make you feel a lot better to see you're under EV when you're running bad/not getting the results you want. I'd also comment on what it's like to run above ev, but being 50-100bi's below EV life time (not sure exactly since I got a new comp recently, 15bi below EV on the new one already lol), I wouldn't know that feeling Razz

I am not asking how it works, i am asking what benefits it gives us when playing HUSNG.  Does it mean you will eventually make up this "lost money" ?  I am by no means trying to sound ignorant, but think there must be some way to benefit from it.

Feel free to post some of those links.

Like Angler said, you can't really put much stock into it for tournaments. You could lose 75% of your all-ins but still win most games, or you could win 75% of your all-ins and lose most games.
