wish I could play but sundays are the only day of the week I can never play (gf finishes early on sundays, 8 p.m., and as she only gets 1 day off a week it's kind of compulsory to spend sunday night with her). | ||

9 players this month. We should make some more noise next month and hopefully get some more players.
With 9 players, 7 were getting a free run to the second round and only Brokerstar played a match against Corbishley. It did not look like Corbish was running well because Broker got a 2-1 lead wich lasted about 20 minutes. With blinds of 25-50 Corbish however managed to get it back to even.. Intresting to see some bold bluffs so far ! At blinds of 50-100 however Broker was again leading 2-1 and broker managed to get it all in with 99 against K2 wich Corbish won and for the first time Corbish took the lead. Then broker got it in with T high against A high.... and A high managed to hold. Goodbye Broker... better luck next time. Unfortunatly it was not possible to chat on the table. Not sure if it is because they were the only ones playing or something else.... it is always fun to talk in the window where people are actualy playing. Second round I got to play Icanhasriver.... He knew where the bet and raise button was and put a lot of pressure on me at the start. I got some hands and managed to get a 2-1 lead. We finaly got it in with AQ-A7s wich was somewhat exiting since he flopped a flushdraw but my AQ held. Benbatty and Mizter8 got felted by BetMagic and Varangino. At 50-100 blinds Corbishley was playing Tiddlers26 with 2300 chips against 3700. I was just in time to see them get it in with A7s against J7s, both hearts.... sich hand, because corbish riverd a 7 to win the pot and now he was 4650 against 1350 chips. Corbish won the match when tiddlers shoved some trash and he called with AQ. Next round, we are in the money ! Intresting remark from tiddlers during the match.... "definetly need to work in nash". What I always do is have the chart open when blinds get high. Its as simple as that
Unfortunatly chat still did not work..... for some reason its not possible to chat in someone else his window. Since I do not see any other people chat I will assume it is the same for everyone. Shame, I will send a mail to stars to see if they can change that.... |

Sure enough I have to play Corbish.... meh... Broker gave him a compliment that he played better than 100% of players at $100 so I better run hot a little
Well, running hot did not work.... I lasted for a while but as I do so often, I overplayed my last hand (and many others) and lost. Final match, BetMagic against Corbish !! BetMagic wanted him in the final (atleast he said so in the chat) so he got what he wanted.... Corbish seems to have a "I chip away at people" style because he did the same against BMM. Corbish worked his way to a 14000 - 9000 chiplead but with blinds of 80/160 there was more than enough room for play. Corbish then made a great call against a river bet from BMM on a board of Q539Q with 75 for his pair of 5's to win. That got him a 2-1 lead. Corbish kept chipping away..... no real big hands and suddenly, at blinds of 120-240, BMM was left with only 6000 chips. Still enough, but getting close..... Second pair then helped corbish to over 20.000 chips and BMM only had 4000 left. At blinds of 200-400 BMM managed to get back to 6000 chips. Time for some pushin.... allthough minraises still seemed to do the trick (BMM folding to them and Corbish regularly calling them ) so they sticked with that. Then BMM won a big pot with trips and managed to get back to even. No idea why they made it so difficult because 4 hands later they got it in with 33 against A9 and A9 finished up as a full house to beat BMM's 33.....

Big well done to Mr Corbishley, the match we played was pretty intence and had a few spots where we we're trying to level each other, defiantly the hardest match i've ever played. Looking forward to next month

haha - ya I should really do this but am too lazy and hate flipping screens. Will work on this though. Thought I played some hands poorly during the match, made some donk plays, didn't respond to his 3bet's well, and didn't like my push with last hand of the match. Overall I'm happy to last as long as I did against such a good player! Still interestedd in what Corb had when he c/r me on the river after I 3 barrelled - if he wants. Tbh thought I misplayed that hand as well. Also, fwiw I had AT vs J7. Anyways, thanks for putting this on, it was really fun and look forward to the next tourney. GG's to all! Any |

Hey man haven't forgotten about this. I'll try find the hand tonight and post. I think it was Q6 of diamonds (Had Qx of diamonds for sure so had and top pair and made flush on river) | ||

Ha - nice hand. Tbh think I misplayed the hand - had J6 for a rivered 2pair. Think the turn bet should of been a check behind as well as the river (easy fold to your c/r - plan was to bet fold but think it was to thin). Anyways, think I'll post it
