Tagpoker HU Shootout tournament suggestions pleaseok, let me take the liberty of setting up a HU shootout tournament for TAGPoker members wich will be run on Pokerstars.Please post suggestions for: Day time (In UK time zone since most seem to be in that time zone) buyin If there is any kind of concensus I will create a tournament and we will see how many people will join. I would like to do this latest around the 25th. Hopefully when the tournament is over we can have some discussion about the game. We could merge some hand histories and do some reviews or something. ---------------------------------- My preferences: Day: I don't realy care but a saturday or sonday seems to me like it will suit most members. So far I would suggest the first weekend in may. time: somewhere between 19:00 and 21:00 buyin: $5 to keep it affordable for the lower level players. |

I'd say sometime on the weekend would be good and at an hour where most people are awake... As for BI? I think everyone should take a vote on it? Giving the fact that most players on here are small and micro guys and given the fact that winning is more for kudos that profit, I'd say $5? Broker |

Any Saturday or Sunday is good for me, preferably around 2PM-3PM EST (I think that's 19:00-20:00 UK time) Any later eats into my profits from playing drunken weekend fish. | ||||

I think weekends work for most people, generally a lot of people work and it would be easy to get it in the middle of the day at a weekend, providing that a lot of people can do it, obviously. | ||||

Well, this is your website and "your" group of people so it will depend on you OK'ing it But it is somthing thats fun to do on a regular basis indeed.

But the things I have in mind wich I think would be very educational would indeed be: 1) A returning tournament. Monthly would be nice I think. 2) A HU leaque. This requires a lot of planning but will have people playing more matches against eachother. The cool thing here is that the worst player that joins will be playing the best player that joins. That could be VERY educational and fun for the low limit players. It has a lot of problems though with keeping it running, people not showing up etc. Great idea therefore, not sure if it can realy be implemented. |

So far the consensus seem to be "anytime" but there is also atleast 1 player that likes sunday.
So I would suggest sunday. Now about the time, there has been a suggestion for "middle of the day" but myself, I rather have it in the evening, I would say 19:00 UK time. Hopefully then the tournament is finished to still be able to play some normal games. During the day sounds to me like people could have obligations with other stuff. So could some people make some suggestions about what UK time on a sunday ? |
