TAG June shootout Full Tilt

Hello,

the tournament has been created.

In the lobby, click on Requests, then Find Tournament by ID:

Tournament #162406488 (06.05.10 15:00 ET)

That will bring you straight to the tournament.

Lets hope it will be as much fun as the previous one !

PM me for the password wich you will need to register.


ps: at this moment there is a satellite that is linked to our tournament. I have send FT a message that this should be corrected.

Depends on the number of entrants and blind structure... on Pokerstars the blind structure was fairly slow. It lasted 5 rounds

I have a party that night booked in.

I'm going to play for as long as I can and if I don't bust out early, my house mate may have to finish it off for me   Confused

If I get Borg again in the draw I may be able to easily do both anyway... lol

WTF!!!!! i just had a look at the lobby on FT and there is only 5 runners!! we need to get some more people in this like now!!!!

I know last time we had like 6 or 8 people registered like 2 hours before the start.... we ended up with 20 players or something....

I doubt though that we are going to make that this time... We will see.

hmm hopfull people will do the same - i think its becasue alot of people don't know if there going to be around for it so they don't sign up till they know if they can play in it!

And the winner is........

Mikado !!

Just registered here a few days ago and allready the june champion !!

He played a long final match against ItsEggrollTime who had Mikado down to under 500 chips but Mikado got AA to double up and a little later QQ against KQo to double up again back to even.

They both got it in again with Mikado having 55 against ItsEggrollTime's 44 wich got ItsEggrolltime down to 500 chips.

Not a lot later, K5 for Mikado against K6 for ItsEggrollTime and they were almost back to even again....

Finaly in hand 150 (yes, hundred and fifty hands the match lasted) ItsEggrollTime open shoved K7s and Mikado222 made the call with A2s. Mikado hit his ace on the turn to win the match !

well, the saturdays suck for me, as soon as I started I was being hounded by the wife to hurry the f up. (I tried to sneak it in)... ah well.

Even though people voted for the saturday, less than half the people showed up, so I suggest we might as well have it on sunday again next time.

Advertise more, Dom can do this on 2+2 & on the tournament lobby place this sites address so ppl will come and sign up in the forum. (much like a freeroll) Once here they can get the password...more the better.

Next month we just have to make sure that Dom will send out a reminder email a little bit earlier than 1 hour before the tournament starts. That will help a little I guess Smile

I would like it if more people would be playing but I don't have a problem with it if it does not happen.

My main goal for organizing this event is that I hope it will create some buzz and we will have a good time while playing. Afterwards it would be nice if people would discuss their games and do combined reviews. It will give us a way to play eachother in a fun enviroment and hopefully learn something from eachother. If we play eachother regularly we can see eachother grow and learn.

This will happen more in one month than the other. It will happen more if people that know eachother get to play eachother. That just did not happen this month, also due to a new guy taking the win and several matches only taking under 10 hands Smile

And I also do not think it will happen if to much people join a tournament like this. If you would have 40 or 50 people playing, chances of you playing someone you know and feel comfortable sharing reads and history with are small.

So I rather have 8 to 16 people playing it each month than 64 people where I have no clue who I am playing against other than that I know they are a Tagpoker Member.

The guys that do play have to make it worthwile. It's like one big sweat session.... atleast, thats what I hope it will be in the future.

What else would be the point anyway.... there are many tournaments we can play. If this is just "one of them" then we could just as easily sign up all together in some other big tournament.

I agree totally with this and I don't think posting the details on 2+2 is a good idea.

We need to think carefully about the date for the next one as the World Cup will be on for the next 6-7 weeks.

I have not created the tournament yet.

Since the enthousiasm last month was not realy all that much I asked Step if he would be intrested in having his "leaque" run instead of the shootout.

So far no answer from him so I guess thats a no....

I wonder though if there is a lot of use for setting it up... people respond to the poll in that they want a monthly shootout but then unfortunatly the turnout is very low (9 last month). For a leaque that would not be a problem, enough people will have to play eachother but for the shootout, I am not sure if it has a lot of use to keep going with it...

So I was also curious if anybody was going to miss it.... Apperantly yes Smile

Me to. We just have to see how it will work out with step daad's poker leaque. Maybe that will work better, if not, we can just have the monthly tournament with 9 players if that is all that will show up. It's very easy to create so it's not that it costs a lot of effort.

Would just be nice if we can find a way that some more people actualy will show up.... It should be possible with all the people participating here.

Football is in the way. Weekend of the 10th / 11th is the final.

No harm in skipping a month I would say and see if step's leaque will attract some attention... if not we can always do an august shootout.

either way...each day I can report back here as to the numbers I get there. Or you can see there for yourself.
