Super Turbos Are Fun!

Well I say fun, if nothing else they help you get better at dealing with variance.

This is my most recent 300ish games. I am still working a lot on my game and when I get more of a sample I'll pop a couple of videos up of what I'm doing.

hey broker,

how do you read these? what's the green line and what's the red line?

The green line are the real winnings, the money you actually won.

The red line is so called EV line (expected value line), which basically tells you, how much money youīd have won if there was no variance involved, eg. when you get it in preflop with AJ against AT you will win 7 times out of 10 on average, however this applies for the long run, which means, you have to repeat the situation many times to get a sample, because poker is a game of variance which affects its short term results. Therefore it can easily happen that you loose AJ against AT four times in a row.

Isnīt that to complicated ?
BetMagicMoney

green line is actual winnings, redline is expected winnings.

oh cool, thx for the explanation.. makes sense now...

Just in addition to that: This is what you often encounter in various poker forums or blogs, that people will state that they run under EV (which looks like you can see in the Brokerstars graph and they basically mean they run bad) or sometimes you will see someone happy because he runs like a God above EV which often is interpreted like being a luckbox  Very Happy

However EV line is just the part of the real story and it doesnīt say much about how well you actually play so rather forget about it and make your life easy Wink

In super turbos the red line is the only thing that can keep you sane!  Rolling Eyes
