Just learn the basics for math imo to start out with, I'm not huge on it myself. Just learn what kind of odds you need to be calling a FlushDraw on the flop, straight draw, pot odds and implied odds should be enough just to get you going in my opinion.
I would use sharkscope if you can afford it, it's not too much for 3 month's worth of use @ 150 searches a day which should be plenty for you - about £25 for 3 months.
Yes, study your hand histories, but in my opinion don't feel you need to study loads to get better at the start, concentrate on game's where you feel you made mistakes, ask yourself why you made them, learn and correct for next time.
Personally, if you can afford one of the options, get a training package from Brokerstar, this is what I did - there is 2 options.
I started at the $1 game's for a challenge (could of started at the $10s as I was there anyway), now i'm at the $30 game's and aiming for the $50s next.
