short day - variance has no watch!!

played only about 5 husng's today but got destroyed by variance:
two times my aces got cracked (the first one was a fish making a snap call with Q9o after i shoved only to hit his straight. second one i dont remember)
KK preflop all in. lost to a straight by the river.
3 times (two of them in the same match!) flopped top pair while my opponent flopped 2pair.
flop 2pair - opponent flops a straight

one of these matches i actually won (the only one today) after my pretty stupid opponent just hit every single possible hand/draw. i was a bit surprised just to see him check all the way to showdown with trips & nut flush(!). other times he just made those retarded small bets that i had to call with my decent showdown. no need to tell you that every single time he had a monster.
so i just waited patiently finally hitting 2 hands in a row and stacked him off.

my tip for today: while in a downswing patience (and a bit of nittiness) is the key - this is the best way to minimize your losses

yep variance like this sucks (people binking monsters) because you just feel like you can't win, all i can say is keep the faith and you'll be all right Smile

Also try to remember the times during the game when you might have been the underdog and won.  I get caught up a little from this, then think back when my J9 beat his AK allin etc. etc.

Also remember, when you get it in good, there is not much else you can do.
