Good luck sir:) You'll no doubt beat the 5s as well. The only difference between them is the terrible rake at the 2s:/ From then it's the 10s, and I don't think there is too much difference between the 10s and 5s either:)

ok finally a good run, very satisfying

update from my part.
too put in some more volume i havent done any tableselection from game 210 trough approx. game 300
results were horrible mostly played 2.15 (still find the 5$ a big jump, im a nit)
so after game 300 i have table selected and ran hottter than hot only played the 2.15$ games.
Bankroll now 212 dollar (including 100$ deposit)
2.15$ 328 games roi 11.7%
5.25$ 15 games roi 14.3%
the graph is screwed
now my game plan is:
only play when tableselecting!!
im confident that i beat the 2.15$, so now putting more volume in the 5.25$ games and if bankroll dropped down too 200$ play the 2.15$ again till above 200 $
|
rubenfox

grinding continues
bankroll 250$
winnings 150$ including rakeback
2.15$ 425 games 11.2 roi
5.25$ 21 games 17.9 roi
Goals:
-finish brokers course (leakfinders)
-play more games at the 5.25$ level
-more grinding=more voume=more $$$$
|
rubenfox

keeps going good with the grind
bankroll 277 $ winnings 177$

|
rubenfox
|
bankroll now 358$
roi at the 5$ is 31% with 45 games reg. speed
roi at the 2$ is 13% with 520 games reg. speed
everybody says that the 5$ level is the same as the 2$ level and i totally agree
except the rake is less at the 5$ ,so im only playing the 5$ from now on
when i have a bankroll of 400 or maybe even 450 im planning too play the 10$ level.
no doomswitch please

Really nice work there mate.
I can tell you for a fact, you are ready to take the $10s now. They are pretty much the same as the $5s. You may come across the odd player with half a brain, but not to often.
However, it is nice to see someone being patient, and having a plan. It will take you a long way. Looks like you have been really patient, and a getting the rewards for it. Really well done.

thank you Blazing
but still i think that most of my winnings are not from that im so good, but the players at the low stakes are so bad.

Please don't think like that. For one thing, if you can beat the $5s, you can definitely beat the $20s. That doesn't mean jump straight in at the $20s, but you can do it. There are obviously some better players up there, but loads of the usual fish you are used to, as well. Don't forget, in the mean time, you will be working hard to improve all the time, before you get there.
Always remember a fish is a fish, no matter what the stakes are. A calling station still needs to be value bet thinly against, and all the other usual adjustments you are making to player types still apply.
You don't have to be the worlds greatest poker player, all you ever have to be, is better than the players you are playing, and you will make money (eventually)

bankrol went too 483$
but then the problems start, fishes keep 2 outering me and hit miracle cards
the result was that i was tilting and played below my normal game and have spewn off a couple of buyins which i normally dont do, the next day i made the loss almost back and then you guess it maybe i was too tired or i dont know what the reason was
but had spewn off again 5 or 6 byins till the roll was 450$
was almost going too play the 50$ level but resisted it and then i realised that
a big part of my bankroll what ive had build in a several months was in danger.
so withdrewn 300$ too my netelleraccount.
and will now play with 150$ the 5$ games and maybe after a couple of weeks if there is not any big improvement im then thinking about quiting poker totally
because the effort and hours you have too make too earn decent money is not in balance for me
i have a full time job, a girlfriend, dont have so many time too grind losses back and move up any higher
when watching at my results im still a 18% roi winner at the 5's
but dont thingk its worth at all
peace all too you and gl.

That's a shame to hear that you'd consider quitting full stop. Poker is such a grind at the low stakes, you have to literally put in hundreds of hours to get to the first few thousand in profit I feel. But I see it all as an economic investment in time that will surely pay off huge in the future if you stay at it.
Anyway, good luck with the rebuild and I hope you don't quit
|
z1s6arn
|
We know how you feel.
Man up and walk away from poker for a minimum of a weeks mate. Put yourself on a 2 week exclusion. That will protect your bank roll and when you get that habitual urge to play over the next week you wont be able to access your account. You will get that urge when you do this... I promise you...
It goes somthing like oh I feel like playing today why dont I try to see if I can win some games to see if Im ready yet blblabla. Then you lose coz your not ready then you quit....! We dont want that mate!
The below quote is a dangerous thought. Re-read this when you come back and you'll understand.....
| rubenfox wrote: |
and will now play with 150$ the 5$ games and maybe after a couple of weeks if there is not any big improvement im then thinking about quiting poker totally

Remember how far you have come on top of all the commitments you have. Trying to fit in poker as a career around a full time job is hard enough and then you have the responsibility of keeping up your social life. Thats no easy feet mate.
I only speak to my gf once per week as shes in France. I have cut all my studying down to do this. When I go to 'real' work' Im knackered, so I really respect you. I dont think I could do what you are trying to accomplish.
Your just tired. Thats all. This is great character building for you and you have come so far already. There is no way your going to throw this away coz your burning out and dont know that all it will take is a few weeks rest.
It may take you double the time if not more than somebody studying full time. This is why most people who get a job cannot leave it because they are stuck. They are unfortunately a necessary evil. It takes 2 yrs of saving to earn 6 months basic living costs. It takes 6months or more to retrain in most things and with anything you can only really call yourself experienced after 3-5yrs. Now just imagine where you could be in 2 yrs whilst studying part time which by the way is next to near impossible for most.....its a sacrifice for a potentially much more rewarding future
I cant tell you what to do with your life. Nobody can not even your mum mate. Only you can. I can advise you put the 2 week or more exclusion on. Do anything except poker. Have a holiday...its well deserved. Sleep, bum about go and do things that are fun. Eat well. Exercise etc etc.
I have high hopes for you...we all do...I believe you have got what it takes given enough time. This is not rocket science. Its self control, experience and pattern recognition. Its a very easy way to make an easy living when all the muscle memory is in place. But getting there is the hard part.
Think it over.....
Your next few decisions will literately dictate the rest of your life....no need to be hasty
Take care brother,
z1
p.s I also might need some loving soon, we all go through these times you know....
p.p.s When you come back, come back well rested and take poker in its stride. You wont have lost any time you'll have gained so much from resting. Get your BR back together (about $450 right?) and start off the first few days a stake down/lower volume from where you left off and build up the steam engine gradually and in no time you'll be at $500 and you can start planning from there.........
p.p.p.s If you can self exclude 3 weeks take it.....

thanks for your comment z1
i'll definately take a break
maybe when im ready for it, first day of april will be my first log in in to full tilt.
bankroll is still 450$, but withdrawn 300$ because off tilt issues.
plan is too play the 5's with the 150$ and go from there.
gl with the grind

Read this whole thread. Take a break get your hunger back, but man, your killing the game, if i was a betting man (oh i am lol) i would wager that your $150 will quickly out grow what you withdrew to Neteller. Your graphs / bankroll management and tilt control should inspire others.

Is everything ok mate?
You ready to come back and sharpen up?
|
rubenfox
|
well im on life tilt this moment if you ss me rubenfox on full tilt you'll see
got the money in the games in good aa>942 flop vs 9T in a 50$ game
two pair> tp on flop in 30$ game
and some more suckouts by villains
know i played above my roll (stupid me, and lost therefor 160$)
the money doesnt care me i have almost 40k in euro's from my work savings, but the constant suckouts by villains really affects me
know im the better player vs them and its demotivating if they constant hit when the money was already in, and find it hard too motivate too keep playing getting the variance out.
im not playing this whole month i think and going too study my ass off
maybe going too sweat someone or getting some leakfinders by brokerstar still got 2 hours from him but havent done it yet.
maybe this is the time, and study hard!
thanks for your interessed and gl at the tables

What are we gonna do with you mate!
Learn from it learn to laugh about it and dont take yourself or this fickle game so damn seriously to get yourself in this position in the first place. Go on have a good laugh you sill billy. hahahah you moved up to the $10s then $20s then $30s oh just one more you went for a $50...
Looking back you know very well this was a ridiculous set of decisions, this is what happens when your R-complex reptilian brain takes control under a perceived high psychological stress situation. It shuts down your higher thought prcocess (common sense). Now I hope you learned your lesson. give yourself a slap on the hand for it keep your head up and never let it drop. Stay at the $5s and work your graph back up. Never reset that graph becasue its a great reminder of what has happened in the past. Its OK to make mistakes but its NOT OK to NOT learn from them....
Chin up brother. You are only human.....
Whatever you decide to do only focus on improving your game and building your bank roll.....if you focus on failure and your lossess and not being a good poker player or having what it takes you will manifest this into reality. What you think about the most will happen the most. If you think about doing well the most you will most certainly do well....this works even if you dont believe what you are telling yourself....but the more you say it the more you begin to believe it......ironic yeah?
I have also noticed this has happened once before. Time to stop doing this now Ruben. I know you already know this......

bankroll now total 375$
but playing at pokerstars with 155$ because of an very big leak i have and its named TILT
so the rest is at neteller for insurance.
gonna play with the 155$ to over the 200$ mark and than play some 10$
