dont know if anyone does this but i go thru a ritual at the start of the game... when the table opens:
(in this order everytime)
1. open note box
2. find player (to see if they are multi tabling)
3. see which country their from
4. hit Im Ready!!

1. self explanatory
2. if they are multi tabling, either a mix bag or all HU then i can assume:

most of the time that that are going to be playing very straight forward, great to stab at a lot

easy to get away from marginal hands simply because they havent got time to come up with bluffs

also fold preflop a lot more... unless they are the really loose type

3. sometimes it helps sometimes not, i know everyone is different but is good to know i guess

4. Cha Ching time... hopefully +50% of the time Smile

Kind of puts me into gear anyways and would like to hear any other weird things you do before a match!!

Also getting a sharkscope and scoping people before you begin (or alternative services) is something I used to do.

yer i do simlear thing

1) check SS
2) check if multitabling
3) check contry
4) open notes

somthing like that Smile

1) Make sure I have peed before the match starts
2) Turn the sound off on the TV but leave the TV on
3) Get Comfy
4) Play one of these tracks in the background Motivational Speech or How Great I Am Speech .
5) Make sure my beer glass is full enough to last a long match.

My pre-game warm up is:

1) Make sure I have no distractions
2) Look at my notes from previous session
3) Look at my current focus points
4) Review a couple of hands from previous session.
5) ????
6) Profit.

When i open a husng

i look if i have notes on opponent

i always open note taker

I was taking a lot more note when i first start on here
but now I only take what i consider more important note

like a consistent 3 bet when i CBet flop

or AA checked pre flop
I am surprised how many get to river with AA and i had no idea

As Dom say make sure you dont need anything for the duration of the game

I rarely Sharkscope any one just because if i do I might think A I am so much better than him or he is better than me
so by not looking him up i dont have any preconceived ideas

Serious ritual when I'm gearing up
for a long one:

1) have a wee and select beverage of choice. Usually coffee..
2) roll a doobie.
3) Disconnect from the outside world. Watch a vid from a husng instructor to get in the zone. Broker, cog or rypac imo.
4)SS opponent. Open notes volia...
