Reviewing your own hand histories

Hey Guys,

How do you review your own hand histories?

The reason I ask this is because I was reviewing my own games and I feel I’m not getting the best out of them. I try to observe how my opponent is playing (LAG, TAG, LP, TP etc.) find hands that I’ve played wrong (look to see how I could have played them differently/correctly) and starting to think what hand range I could put them on in a certain situation.

I don't write any notes whilst doing a review session and tend to do it all in my head.

Now the problem I feel is that when I’m reviewing my own game I find that a lot of it looks correct to ME but they could have been played wrong and to others/better players they might have played them completely differently.
I know that posting hands, doing HH reviews with other players is probably the best thing I can do in this situation but was just wondering other peoples approach to this.

Sorry if I’m not very clear as its quite hard for me to explain lol.

TLF.

My advice is team up with a couple of people and swap HH files and review each others. You'll find you have a lot more to say in these situations to each other and the discussion almost always gets your mind working better than going alone.

A suggestion would be to maybe get a couple people as mentioned, and organise someone to host a teamviewer session, and go over the game or hands in question.  When you have a couple extra eyes on it, people see it differently.  And when they do see it differently, you can discuss why on the spot.  And then maybe the hands that created some mixed discussion, post up here on the forums.

Just a thought.

Yeah defo think this is always the best way to go but sometimes people arent always available. Will be doing my best to find people to do this with. In the meantime will just be doing my best to get then most out of my own HH's. Thanks guys.
