PokerStars Cashout Policy.I emailed them regarding a query I had when I came to cashout. I have never had any problems on FT. Anyway , could someone with a brain explain their response to me in English please ?
Thank you for contacting us.
Cashouts will be credited back to any and all of the following methods that you have used to make deposits, in the following order:
1. VISA, Entropay Visa, Maestro and Solo
2. NETeller
3. Moneybookers and ClickandBuy
Also, cashouts are processed back to your original purchases, from the oldest purchase to the most recent.
As such, when you make a cashout request, we will first cross-reference your request with any VISA, Entropay Visa, Maestro or Solo deposits you have made. If you have used these products in the last six months, your card is not due to expire, allows gambling credits, and meets the necessary eligibility criteria, we will automatically credit cashouts back to your account balance up to the amount purchased. This is done from the amount of your oldest deposit to the amount for the most recent.
If you have used NETeller to purchase, your cashouts will be automatically processed back to NETeller up to the amount purchased; from the amount of your oldest deposit to the amount of your most recent deposit with this method.
If you have used Moneybookers or ClickandBuy to purchase, your cashouts will be automatically processed back to both of these methods up to the amount purchased; from the amount of your oldest deposit to the amount of your most recent deposit.
If any of the deposits with the above methods were made in a currency other than USD, your cashout amount will be converted by PokerStars to the same currency used to deposit originally before sending it to your VISA, Entropay Visa, Maestro, Solo, NETeller, Moneybookers or ClickandBuy balance. PokerStars does not charge conversion fees.
Once we have credited back the total amount purchased with these options, your cashout winnings can be processed via paper cheque (min 50 USD) or Direct Bank Transfer (min 10 USD) or equivalent in addition to the methods above. Note the VISA option will be available for cash out of winnings only if the sum left over is the equivalent of 100 - 6,500 USD. Also, due to changes concerning MasterCard's policies, we can no longer credit cashouts back to MasterCard accounts.
We apologize for any inconvenience as this policy is a security feature designed to protect our customers against fraud. It ensures that no one can profit from misuse of another's account. For more details on our cashout policy, please visit:
http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/real-money/cashouts/
If you no longer want to use your __________ account on PokerStars, we can block it in our system and this will allow you to choose an alternative method to cash out funds. If you decide to do this, please keep in mind that once the account is blocked, you will no longer be able to use it to deposit or cash out funds.
If you want us to block this account, please email us back confirming your decision.

Magda

Yea you can't cashout back on to your visa, you have to use another method, i would recommend a bank transfer. You could do it by check, that could take a month though.

Why can't I ?
Seems like I have to cashout how much I have deposited on my Visa , then have to choose another method. Stupid.
Back to Full Tilt once I have my money.

by the way, the visa is only a debit card, so it only goes in to the bank anyway, which means the bank transfer would be fine, but it seems I have to use the visa card to take out what I originally deposited first
I really don't know, I'm not thick , but thats confusing.

visa wont allow winning to be transferred onto the visa, weird i know. Your gonna have to withdraw the way you deposit. so i suggest depositing 10 bucks into your new method of choice, that way you can withdraw all your funds when ever you like, after that it will be real easy.

Really ? now it makes more sense, the only problem with that is, I have done it many many times on Full Tilt, and never had a problem using my Visa Debit card.
Thanks for the help though, that makes more sense now at least a little bit.

not sure about the visa debit card, never heard of it to tell you the truth. I use insta debit(not sure if it's only available in Canada) it's super fast, i can transfer all my money through there and it transfer to my bank account within a day.

Oh right, sorry erm Visa debit is basically a cash card you use to draw money out of the bank with, but you can also use it to pay for items like a credit card, and it just takes the money straight out of your account.
It sounds like their might be some weight in what you are saying though, I mean how long have Visa had this moral high ground thing going on, cos I haven't cashed out at Full Tilt for about 6 months now. So it may be the same there. Might be worth me getting a netteller account or something.

If your bank allows deposits to a gambling site from a visa debit card, they will never block a payment from it, unless there is a specific reason, it is definately not going to block you for withdrawing more than you deposited.

Well I just went ahead and tried to withdraw, and it all processed fine, so we will see if it hits my bank account.
I may well look in to Neteller, easily move money between sites and my bank account that way then.

I had a problem with pokerstars last month regarding my Visa debit card.
Their security team deleted my card details from my account because I had not made a deposit from it in the last six months even though I had made many withdraws from it.
Anyway to cut a long story short all I had to do was make a $10 deposit and wait 72 hours to make a withdraw.
As far as I am aware you can withdraw as much as you want to a Visa debit card regardless of the amount deposited.

Thanks for that, something to bear in mind if I need to cash out again. I'm not exactly sure what the email meant or the policy is. What actually happened was I got an email saying the amount I originally deposited would be put in to my bank, which was $600. I withdrew $1200 in total, and the other $600 was sent for processing, and was accepted a bit later that day. Not sure what it was all about, but I should get the money sometime this week hopefully.

I believe what it means is that they will send the money first via whatever method you used to deposit up to the amount you deposited.
e.g. If you want to withdraw $1000 & you deposited $600 through Visa they will send $600 via Visa and the balance by bank transfer.
I had this with Fortune Poker, but I called them & they let me withdraw the whole amount to my bank account.

Maybe it is that, it wasn't explained very well though. I had a decision to make about which site I was going to stick with long term, I was already edging towards Full Tilt, and this nonsense has just made my mind up. Cashing out has never been a problem on Full Tilt.

Blazing, I think your money will go in to your account. Mine normally takes 4 days.
I know from personal experience that some uk betting company's like visa withdraws to equal deposit amounts before processing the extra. I can't remember if this was the case for me with pokerstars.
Also personally I think any poker site that requires a 3rd party organisation to allow you to fund or withdraw funds are not worth using. I had this problem with Realdealpoker and we all know what happened to that site.
The days of having to pay commission / fee to play on-line poker have been and gone.
