most of these programs are quite bad from what i've seen!i would just work on your game rather than get a program to tell you what to do imo!

poker edge doesn't tell you what to do.
Every hand you or any other member plays goes into their database, you then play with a customizable hud similar to HEM, the idea being when you sit at your table you have stats based on lots of hands.
I used the trial version last year for sngs, but found it very heavy on the system and lagged with more than 4 tables open, which is pointless when you play 12 tables.
It was also $20 per month
Against ALL sites terms of usage and Hard work keeping up with security with regular FT updates
mainly only useful for cash games, I don't know how big the data base of members is, but if you don't use FT/PS then you normally end up on a table of players with no stats if you play sngs.
IDK, but if you used the trial and found it useful and had good stats then why not I guess.
If you play lots of shootouts, then at least you can datamine the other table(s) and get an initial player type insight I guess.

+1 for lagging! like my mouse has a mind of its own sometimes! but i dont multi-table so not a major issue.
$20 a month could be justified if it gave a a big enough edge i suppose?
I haven't really been able to play the last couple weeks, i watched my dad use it for HU and some of the stats were really usefull. %folded to cbet on river, %folded to cbet on flop etc. I think it gives you an idea of player type from the off aswel and gives you a better idea of exactly how tight/loose a tight/loose player is.
But i feel very lazy using this and don't think i'd get the same satisfaction from winning....but then winning is winning maybe lol maybe ill give it a go, just wanted to see if anyone else found it handy.

I think stars/ft take using this fairly seriously. You have to launch the poker room through poker edge to avoid the security on stars. If i opened stars then tried to open poker edge i dont think it would let me

Well i have decided that poker edge can come in useful sometimes. Played quite a few matches where villain was marked as a station so right from the off i adapted correct strategy and sure enough he called all his stack off. But other times the stats really didn't match up. I remember a few matches they had a guy marked as TP pre.....well either the guy got premo hands every hand or the stats are confusing cos this guy was so aggro! I think i'll stick to my own fact finding

Agreed. The only real info i gained out of this i could have easily worked out for myself. I think for MTT's and cash games though this is a good little investment

I love my hud! See my previous posts.
Because it is a great note-taking tool and gets me thinking about the opponent's playing style.
