Playing Ongame maniacs

I don't know if any of you guys have tried playing on Ongame, but the average european donkey is very different to those on FTP/Stars

Most fish I play on FTP/Stars are passive calling stations that will just fold until they hit, c-bets are like printing money against them and you can open a wide range.

Now here is the description of a typical Ongame player that I have trouble with sometimes.

He'll limp some buttons but raise most either for min or upto 3x...not really important.

In the big blind he will call at least 70% of the time and 3bet something like 20-30% of the time. Some even have 3bets over 40% over a solid sample.

If he flats he will very often donk-bet the pot full pot or 2/3rds, c/r or c/c he folds very, very rarely to any bet regardless of texture.

If he raises his btn he will c-bet 100% or close to, and also fire the turn a high percentage. If he flats your raise and the flop goes check-check he will almost always fire a turn stab to try and take it down.

My initial adjustments are in my opening range, I can't open any two any more as I get called way too much and face 3bets too often for opening any two to be profitable.

What I do instead is opening 2,5x-3x with my better hands. C-bet rather big when I hit 2/3-3/3 pot and just look to get called down by middle pair or a draw.

If I call one of his raises with like KQ and flop a pair on a safe board I will let him barrel rather than opting for the c/r this way the guy will definitely fire all 3 streets with air because he thinks im weak.

The problem is that when facing these people I turn into a bit of a nit, because Its tough to make top pairs and get good cards, so I often find myself 2-1 down when the blinds reaches 50-100 (turbo structure)

Can you spot any glaring mistakes in my thinking?

Try some 3bets urself to see how they play out , open a tighter range IP , chk raise dry boards , try limping a few btns. Flat 3bets wider and call down when u hit
BetMagicMoney

your adjustments are fine, just is how you have to play against lags

I do try to 3bet wider against them, but they flat soso often and won't fold to a c-bet that I often end up bet-folding or check-folding when I miss, am I just suffering from selective memory and some variance that is causing my game to backtrack completely?

This has definatley been the case for me I thought I wasnt profitble in alot of spots but it really was selective memory after running through HEM for hundreds of hands for the same spot i was hugely profitble but just felt like I was losing a ton.

If you are not fully comfortable in 3bet pots then ur option really is to either tighten your OOP calling range right up or if you have done that already then to expand it (obviously based on your opponents tendancies) if they dont fold to flop c/r's are you floating in decent spots? do they give up turns? do they fold to donk bets on flops? these questions you constantly need to be asking as you play and as soon as you pick up reads you will be able to play board textures vs specific opponents alot more efficiently AKA profitibly. Trying a few of those adjustments should help you while OOP.

While you are IP if you are getting most of your cbets flatted you need to see if they fold to delayed cbets and if not you need to double barrel more often. Delayed cbetting works perfectly as long as you notice if they start stabbing turns if you check more flops and obviously making the adjustment to cbet more flops if they do. If you are getting your double barrels called more often you need to check what their range for calling the flop and turn is (when you get to showdown obviously and not having faced any raises) which allows you maximise profit when you do hit after establishing an opponents ranges, whilst also minimizing your losses when your just cbetting or at times value betting a little too thin (which you should deffo be doing against these types of players)

Hope it helps.

*edit* - Just read this back after writing like a sentance an hour while watching tv shows alot of it is me just babbling ill fix it properly another day lol hopefully u get some sense out of it  Cool
