Playing against someone that calls no matter what?@ AllI have been playing my arse off for the last few days I have been trying to do this play for maybe 2 hours while making notes then stopping and looking at the problems and trying to read up on them. I dont know ifthisis thebest idea but it seems to let me concentrate more. I all so got holdem manager asmost of you guys seem to use it and it seems very good. I have a perticular hand that I wondered if I played the right and would like some ideas into it. I post the villians stats as I guess this allows every one to see how he was playing. villian is showing 39/8/2.6/13 He was calling with any thing and calling most flop bets and the turn he all so made seveal draws and was on top. Hero raises to $0.40, 3 folds, BB calls $0.30 Flop: ($0.85) 9  8 J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.85, BB calls $0.85 Turn: ($2.55) 3 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.55, BB calls $2.55 River: ($7.65) Q (2 players)
BB bets $7.65, Hero folds I was not sure how to play so I bet pot size bets as we went. Should I have moved all in on the flop? Should I have checked it down as he was going to call any way? Should I not have folded at the end I figured after seeing him in previous hands make his flush and straight in the same mannor that he one of the two? Thanks Bread |

I am probably raising preflop a little more, around 0.60.
Seems fairly loose, passive, and he obviously had a part of it on the flop, and AT, QJ, JT, T9, TT, JJ, (QQ, AA - prob 3betting these) definately in his range. Looks like you had him up until the River, then easy fold considering you said you had seen him play exactly the same way on a draw previously. Definate fold on the River, as TP not looking good there with so many draws getting there. I dont mind how yo uplayed it (except River ofc), as you want these guys to chase their draws. |
