New HUSNG player

Hi all,

Am fairly new to HUSNGs and am currently playing the $2.20 games on stars.

I'm hoping to put some time into studying the game this year and move up a by in level or 2.

At the moment, however, I'm having problems braking even at the 2.20 level. Feels like I would be in profit were it not for the 10% rake at this level, which keeps eating away at any profit I make so that I just about break even.

Looking forward to learning nad getting better at the game this year.

Hello mate.

Yes the rake at stars is a huge killer at that buy in level and really could be impacting on your ability to churn out a win rate although with  a very solid game it's not unbeatable.

If you can i'd suggest moving to a site like Full Tilt where the rake is not only lower but you can also get rake back which will really help build your roll and break out of the micro levels even faster.

Enjoy the footage on the site and make sure you get involved in asking questions about anything you're struggling with in the forums too.

Good luck.

Hi Broker, thanks for the advice. I'm currently having issues depositing at full tilt, first deposit was declined (no problems on stars) and they need to verify my ID, then no idea if I'll be able to deposit successfully after that.

If I sort out my Full Tilt issues I'll probably switch to playing there though.

Just a suggestion, but sending your deposit to a friend already playing on ft (using paypal, etc.) and doing a player-to-player transfer works well if the issue doesn't get sorted out.

Thanks, if I still can't deposit once they've verified my ID (which I've read can take a while at the moment) I'll try that route

full tilt is the best for the 2's but its about the same at the 5's on stars and full tilt.  full tilt is however the better hu site imo as u have more to choose from with deepstacks to turbos to reg speeds. stars does have shoot outs but those can be a high variance game at the best of times.

look forward to seeing u in the forums

If you have no hope of ever withdrawing, sure.

No it isn't, not even close. Ipoker & Entraction have 5% rake for superbusto stakes, + easily twice the return in ''bonuses''. If not more.
So you are looking at maybe 2% rake. 10% or 2%? Mmmmmmm.

Also if you do this, I'm pretty sure you don't get rakeback though.

Of course you do. Why would this be in anyway related?

You get rakeback, but you do not get the sign up bonus:

Q: If an existing Full Tilt Poker player transfers some money to my new account; can this be regarded as a deposit?
A: Yes. Player to player money transfer is the same as making a deposit. However, player will not be eligible for the sign up bonus.
