Nash vs Chubakov vs Batman vs Me - short stack play

I must admit, i have been a little lax when it comes to studying indepth to endgame push/fold strategy.  I prolly work of a "feel" mentality, which i am sure i may be vilified by some for not applying any math or chart to it at all costs.  And when the transition to Turbos is inevitable, i would imagine this is going to play a major role in becoming a solid player.

What i am referencing to, is we all hear about using this chart and that chart for pushing, and very little is said about calling.  I have looked over a guy name riskorientated (http://www.riskoriented.com/2009/10/better-than-nash-shoving-equilibriums.html) methodology which was interesting to say the least, and i believe PHMERC has his own teachings.

Yes there is a question : What do you guys find is the most effective way to review/study this part of the game ?  What other videos, besides our own Tagpoker videos does anyone recommend ?

for start keep in mind that the nash, chubukov charts show u a way to push/call almost unexpliotable. ofc they are useful but in most cases should be your last option. what i mean by that is that the in most cases u should trying to maximize your ev by exploiting your opponent flaws and mostly use them if u suspect that your opponent does use them.
in my opinion the best way to study is experience, if u wanna train your end game before switch to turbos a good idea is to practice on super turbos first(1 or 2 bi levels down from where u are).
but first u should memorize the charts and use them in a while before u can start change your game based on opponents.

the charts(chubukov for push and nash for call) is a must if u wanna change to turbos. and then u build from there.

Thanks for the reply Mordred, i think sometimes we believe that these charts are bible, working less often because we have not dealt with gameflow, villain tendencies etc. in the first place

i think this is a better option because as good as charts are to calculate ranges, there is no substitute for game play.

get ever video mercenary has ever made and you'll be fine Razz he has to have possibly the best end game in the world!

Also you should be thinking about the fact that really you don't need to push fold untilll 8BBs in alot of cases as MR/C or MR/F will have much better expectation!

It's all about math in endgame, a tad of 'feel' to adjust villains ranges.

It's impossible to set a calling range, because every villain's shoving range is different. You need to estimate villains shoving range, then compare your hands equity w/ the equity needed to breakeven, then call or fold based on that.

Use 3bet shove math to work on 3bet shoving.

Work on ROFL for 8-20bb play. Then just hit up Nash under that.

Endgame takes a lot of work, I'm pretty happy with mine but I realise I have a LOT of work to do still. Just watch endgame videos, learn the math, then mark all your spots in game you're even semi-unsure about and find out the optimal line, backing it up with logic and math.

You'll get there eventually, and if you ever need help, a ton of guys will help on skype and forums.
