Myself086/IneedUr$ prints money at BetOnline

Hey guys, I recently gave another shot at poker after Full Tilt Poker went down. This time I am following Brokerstar at BetOnline. I have turned $50 into $1026.19 in just 28 days playing at BetOnline. The players are just so easy to beat. Even most of the grinders are weak.

I started slow on this site just to have a feel for the players and because I had low expectations. I played mostly Omaha hi/lo in the beginning because this is how I made money in the last 3 months at Full Tilt. But once I found myself playing all the Omaha hi/lo tables I decided to make a move and play NLHE.

My goal is to print money and catch up to Brokerstar's $10k challenge.
Brokerstar

Nice, nice, nice!!!!

I said it was easy lol.   Rolling Eyes

For anyone that joins Betonline Poker through Tagpoker to grind the cash tables like my challenge then I'm going to do a free cash game health check.

Basically this will be a recorded session of you playing and we'll go over it together to make sure you're adjusting well to the giant Tuna on the site.

So let le know mate if you fancy doing a session like that?

nice man keep it up Smile

I think I am having trouble at the full ring tables. I am now playing 6-max as these tables have more fold equity. I take a ton of notes on players, one of them has 9 lines each describing a different play.

Do I need to record a video for timing tells and commentary on my plays?

I am taking shot at a fish table NL100 as I am sending this. Running good so far. Very Happy

Yes note taking is great. Recording your games helps with lots of things like table dynamics, timing etc but also lets me see your natural game too.

PM me your username and screen name on the site and then we'll get something booked in for you.

Kind regards

Dominic

I just recorded a session at NL50 but I'm not in love with how the table was going. It was mostly slow due to one guy timing out and at one point the table had 4 regs. They were not the best players in the world for sure.

I'll record more sessions and decide which one is best to send. I'm looking for a session where I can potentially have trouble.

My audio recording is a bit low even with max volume.

Is 1 hour too long for a video?
Brokerstar

1 hour is probably a bit long, a 30 minute recording on a few tables is best and don't worry about having sound.

You looked like you were playing quite solid at the NL100 game you joined me in earlier. Shame we couldn't get our hands on more of those fishes money. Hitting a flop today has felt like a mini miricle lol.

Also well done again on going from a $50 deposit to playing NL100 in a month.  Cool
Myself086

There's some crazy action on the table since you left. Most notably by propoker99, a pure maniac. I just won a $245 pot against another player as I'm sending this reply, obviously vs top pair. Very Happy
Brokerstar

Damn you!!!!!!

I've played all day and am down $300 vs pure droolers   Confused

Oh well beer time and back to the games later.

Keep running good and see you at NL200 in what, another week?
Myself086

End of day #33. Bankroll is at $1516.96.

I am thinking of making my own HUD software for BetOnline. May or may not happen, we'll see.

I am running good at NL100 and one thing I notice is that the players fold more often as I move up but they're still pretty bad. The only adjustment I make to the fish is barreling draws more often without going mad either.

I have been experimenting 3-bet bluff pre flop against some players before moving up to NL100. The biggest mistakes I see from weak regs is calling a wide range pre flop and then play tight passive post flop.

This past month just blows my mind. I have never won more than $800 a month playing poker and now I beat my record with a bankroll of only $50. I've only played up to NL25 hold'em and NL50 omaha hi/lo at full tilt and now I'm playing NL100 in just 31 days. I've been playing for real money for 2 years now.

Mate you'll be playing NL400 on this site in no time at all. You know how easy the money is here.   Shocked
Myself086

I am now back down to just over $1000 and I have done some horrible mistakes the last few days.

I am going to take a short break from poker.

I have noticed that I stopped using most of my math short-cuts this week-end. Being a math player, I play by the math and there are a ton of math short cuts that I use that I haven't seen explained on any website. They basically dictate my actions.

Playing without a HUD is certainly a challenge with the number of tables I'm playing plus the note taking on this site is terrible. I mean where else can you not play a hand while taking notes on a player?

Seems like I have been following Brokerstar's bankroll by about one half behind.

I am making a game on my own. Just showing this game to anyone will be more painful than a poker downswing of 33%.
Brokerstar

Mate in a 48 hour stretch I went from nearly 4k back to 2k through nothing more than sick coolers or brutal beats. I'm happy with how I played but it does suck to be back playing NL100.

If you need a HUD that badly then you have two options. Either make a HH convertor that changes Betonline HH files to Pokerstars ones so that HEM can read them.

Or you can do what I did and download Holdem indicator which is very, very basic but better than nothing.

Chin up
Myself086

I doubt HEM will show the HUD on the software but seeing a hand history on HEM is a valid option.

Another option would be to make a HUD from scratch and show all the stats I want.

At least you played well in your last 48 hours. I have made terrible plays during my downswing.

LOOOOOOOL nice done
!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hummmmmmmm Omaha video anyone???   Rolling Eyes

Nice work man.

sweeet!
Myself086

I am not kidding, 800bb at NL25 is STANDARD at BetOnline. My biggest stack was over 1200bb. I'm not sure why I quit playing Omaha for a few weeks.

Brokerstar, I can make free videos for Omaha hi/lo. I'll talk to you on Skype.
n1ghtah

you should do that even though i dont plan on playing omaha hi/lo id like to see you play so no matter what

video . requested and required
Myself086

I have seen this a few times tonight and I thought I should take a screenshot on the next 4-way all-in pre flop. Here it is!

All 4 hands are not even that great. If you compare this to hold'em, the hands would be something like 22 vs 35s vs A4o vs K6s in terms of playability.

I had a chance to play a 3-way all-in pot pre flop but the short stack held and I lost a few bb.

When I'm playing NL I just open shove AA3x and AA2x. You'll be surprised how light I get called for >100bb sometimes.

Bankroll is finally back up and over $1600!
Pongo

Am I the only one who's having a little trouble with betonline?. I'm on a mac maybe that has something to do with it. Everytime a try to take a note the software shuts down. And I also have problems with reserving a seat for a table. This sucks because there's so much fish I don't want to stop playing here. But I think it will become really hard once I get to nl50 or nl100 to have an edge without beeing able to take notes.
Myself086

I'm on Windows and the software is TERRIBLE.

Download parallels or get a windows PC. Let me know if parallels changes anything. I never owned a Mac.

Here are a few bugs that I noticed (abuse at your own risk):
- Over load stack - reload after shoving a hand will let you load an extra 100bb. Works in reload tournaments as well.
- Omaha HH is not finished.
- On some Omaha tables, you can pre flop raise for less than 1bb.
- Opening new tables or hand replayer will sometimes crash the software.
- Some names don't show up.
- Sometimes a player's stack size does not show.
- Chat box is limited to about 20 characters per message.
- Chat box does not support keys like Home, End, Page down, Page up.
- Sometimes, the Chat box will not display any text until scrolled. At some resolutions, text will not show up at all.
- Reserved seats do not sit you automatically.
- Leaving after posting the BB will cause the player on your left to skip the BB.
- By skipping the BB and SB, you can play hands without paying.
- Double clicking a name in the buddy list will open the table for the first player in your list instead of the selected player.
- Taking notes or viewing Buddy list does not let you play hands.
- Posting the BB in the cut-off does not cost you a dead SB unless you were sat at this table previously.
- When playing a SNG and timing out, sometimes you cannot resume your game until you relog.
- On omaha tables, when waiting for the big blind, you will be asked if you want to post the big blind for every single hands until the big blind.
- On 3 handed tables, if the Dealer is asked to post a BB and does not. The hand will play heads-up with the BB having position.
- When sitting at an empty table for too long. The Avg pot for that table will go down to 0. This never happens when there are no players at the table.
sandman369

Wow looks like you're crushing Omaha, nice job. Earning almost 500bb in one sitting? Cha-ching!

wow... that's all?... just wow.
Brokerstar

When you join a wait list for a table you then have to close the table or it wont let you sit for some reason.

You'll get a 60 second notice when a seat becomes free, the table will then re open and you wait for the players to show before confirming the amount you want to play with and then you can sit right down, no problem.

As far as taking notes, it's annoying to do (buggy) but it never shuts my computer down.
Zipps

Unable to click the call button, when a guy overbet shoves all in with a fked up flush, other guy calls and you just can`t click that fking call button while the timebank runs down with the nutflush+nut low hand in nl omaha. I transformed to hulk for a few seconds!!!
Btw nice work myself and pongo you could use sth. like excel to take notes.
Myself086

Zipps, do you play omaha hi/lo regularly at BetOnline? What's your usernmae?
Zipps

Jabawockeez but I am just playing it for fun. I am just nut peddling with some bluffs here and there and for the low part I am mostly guessing.
The only thing I know is that hands like A2xx or A3xx are sick good, because of the ability to hit the nut low hand. So I am not the best player
in that game, but it's still a lot of fun Razz
Myself086

A3xx can be terrible at 10-handed tables because you need a 2 and another player can have A3. You don't want to be playing for just half the pot. I've seen some guys call an all-in with A2 low draw and no high, basically risking their stack to get their 1bb back.

The low is 5 cards, Ace(1) to 8 where 8 is the worst card. You read numbers backward. So like 23 is better than A4 because your highest card is lower with 23. 23 is third best, A4 is forth best, A5 is the seventh best.

The best starting hand is AA23ds because you have almost no chance of losing the low and you have the pair of Aces with 2 nuts flush draw.

Here are some hands that play well multi-way:
A2xx with some kind of high draw
A2pp (pocket pair)
A3xxs (Ace high flush draw)
A23x
A24x
A25x
2345
2346
AA3x Normally this is better to isolate but because the players are so bad you can just open shove pre flop.

High cards will play much better heads-up. So if you play heads-up, you're looking for hands that do well on both sides. 789 are the worst cards.

I mostly play NL because over betting some hands is the way to go.

If you end up with the nuts low on the river, it's unlikely that your high is good unless you had a straight draw, a wheel draw, or a flush draw to go with it. This is why you don't play any A2 or A3.

Let's say you're on the river (not turn) and you have the nuts low and a random pair. The pot is a decent size of about 15-20% of your stack. You can make a semi bluff all-in, this will do 2 things. A random 2 pairs hand will most likely fold because you're repping a monster. But the nuts low or even sometimes the second nuts low will call. If he has the nuts low, it's unlikely that your pair of 8 is beat. In this case, you will take 3/4 of the pot and take half of his stack.

This semi bluff can also be used as a set-up play as you will be shoving your nuts low + flush in later hands.

You can also shove a non-splittable nuts high with no low. Do not shove double second nuts.

Full ring omaha hi/lo is very straight forward but when you get down to heads-up it gets more complicated. But even heads-up you can build massive pots with your pair + nuts low.

Now for dry boards in omaha hi/lo. They are not the same as hold'em.

K72r in Omaha hi/lo is a semi wet board as there are low draws and everybody loves them. They can also have a King with cards higher than 7 for a 2 pairs draw.

89T all hearts. This is the most wet board for Hold'em but in omaha hi/lo, you either have something strong or you're drawing dead. The only draws are full house draws. This is because in omaha, you need to use exactly 2 cards from your hand and 3 cards from the board.

Flops with 2 high cards, 1 low card, and no Ace are often good to stab heads-up. There are no low draw and if there are no flush draw it's even better.
Zipps

Cool thx myself. I never really thought about that 23 is better than A4 or that K72r is  a semi wet board, but it makes a lot of sense.
Pongo

Is there no site that are able to track from betonline? Like sharkscope or pokertableratings?
Myself086

I haven't played in almost 6 weeks but now I'm back.

I am no longer aiming for most profit but instead I will put more time into making my own video game. It's been in development for nearly a year and progressing a bit slow due to the massive learning required.

I was surprised to see 5 full tables of omaha hi/lo last night. Stakes were something like 10, 10, 25, 50, 100. I played a bit of PL100 and with a flop% between 50 and 60 I can literally play these guys with no read and still make a living.

If you're interested in playing omaha hi/lo. All you need is a basic strategy for playing full tables and a bankroll of about $100 due to their lowest stake being 0.05/0.10. You can also add me on Skype and I'll be happy to talk strategy with you for free.
Brokerstar

I would love to make a video with you playing Omaha hi/lo as I have no idea how to play it and sounds like it may be quite interesting to explore what you're doing.
Myself086

This is exactly what I want to do. I am not the best player but you don't need much to win at BetOnline.

Btw is there any reason you never replied on Skype in the past few days?
Brokerstar

Yes I've had no internet for the last few days so have just mainly updated from my iphone.

I'm back up ad running with a new hub today.

I'm so going to have to buy a back up dongle.
Myself086

I have just seen the most ridiculous bug on this site today.

One guy was 3-betting big pre flop and then got 4-bet shoved and the guy who originally 3-bet was unable to call. Each time he pressed call the action would just blink back to him. After about 2 minutes the guy finally folded.

I thought this was due to the 4-bet being less than 1bb higher but it turns out to be just over 1bb.

I took a video of it and here's a screenshot.
