My post black friday cash game BR building ThreadHello, My name is Justin i don't really post here much but im trying to change that. I am motivated to make a cash game BR building thread because of broker and many others. In the past i have not been really motivated to grind and i think if i use this thread as a personal blog it would give me the motivation to grind. I made my first deposit about a month ago and just been playing around and now i want to take it seriously, i realized how much i love the game of poker and want to enjoy every minute of it and not take it for granted like i did pre black friday.
Cake network (intertops) 33% rakeback Starting BR 71.43 $
I will be playing shorthanded hold em and PLO cash games because i am a pretty loose aggressive player and love action and have done pretty well in the micros in the past with this approach to the game. I feel like my tilt control and money managment has improved since i started playing poker and that i have a better grasp of what variance is so i don't spew like the monkey i once was.Since i don't rely on poker as income i feel like having aggressive BR management is the way to go. I will be keeping track of my own results because i don't own a HUD and we all know how bad PTR is with tracking.
My Rules:
I will be using a kelly criterion BR management system By risking 10% of my current BR on any CASH game.
I will be 2-6 tabling.
I do not have any Volume goals (i work 40 hours a week) will try to play when i have free time.
Update at least every 2-3 days if not more.
My Goals:
-71.43 to 5000 so i can pay for paramedic school
-Atleast 500 hands a day
-run good obviously
-don't let mental blocks set back my poker game when i know i have an edge long term

Hey guys its been a couple of days sorry i couldnt update i was out of town and went to a wedding. My current bankroll is 139 dollars i played some husng which i know arnt cash games but i cant just stop playing my favorite form of poker. I am going to add some husngs in the mix and risk about 5% of my BR on a game.

Hello tagpoker sorry i havnt posted in a while i have been having some family issues a little bankroll update my current BR is 150.02 playing mostly cash games. There is a problem tho cash games are extremely boring to me. There is nothing like HUSNG's. Poker isnt about money for me its about beating my opponents and i dont feel like i have won when i win a pot. The thing about a husng is there is a clear start and finish there are different stages of the game and different ways you have to play and adjust to play them effectively. I came from playing RTS games competitively and the two are very similar so i feel right at home when i play husng's. So im not going to make another thread im just going to make this thread into a super turbo husng thread starting at the 3 dollars ST's i will be posting my SS graph every few days talking about how im playing, running ect.

Played 10 games today im happy with my play just cant win a when im a 60% to 70% favorite and have been getting coolerd. Pretty standard stuff just have to get some volume in so it will even out.
some guy thought i was a donk for open shoving A9s into his aces at the 50/100 level... i really wish he wanted a rematch :S

hello guys my current br is 178 playing husng's mostly and some cash. just a little something ive been thinking about and has really helped me think about the game of poker differently. Is to take the labels off of players and just play. The player you are playing against is neither bad or good he/she is just a player trying to play the game in his/her own way with what ever motive and doesn't matter what the motive is.I just found that when i labeld a player as "bad" and lost to them it would tilt me to fukin hell, and when i lost to a player that i perceived to be good i would just accept it and not really ask why i lost to him/her. A player is presenting you with information and telling you a story its your job to listen to that story and see it from their eyes and not to judge them just to exploit them.
so overall im pretty confident in my poker game and happy with the way i am playing just wanted to right down some random thoughts before i forgot them.(sorry about punctuation)

Just some quick little thoughts i have to type out before i forget them. I don't think enough winning husng players appreciate the edge they have over the general field of players. If you really think about it when you play a husng the ev is neutral 50/50 and to be able to turn that 50/50 ev into a weighted coin in your favor without much wiggle room is just amazing. You are both playing in a structured environment you both have to follow the same rules and over the long run you are going to be dealt the same exact hands. Our edge comes from knowing when to 3 bet light, value betting thinly and being able to win small pots in the beginning so that we can lose an all in and still be in the game. I know there are many other factors that go into being a winning player but to me those are the big three and by far the most important.

havnt updated for a while current BR 200 i have been playing everything cant really be picky on a small site.
The mtt's on this site are just the softest thing i have ever seen the guaranteed tournies have such a small playing field that you can easily cash in these things 40% of the time or more so i will be playing in these more often

Yes i am from the U.S.
I havn't tried to cash out yet i play on intertops its the only cake skin i will play on because it has a separate cashier from the network. If you go on 2+2 you can read about other peoples experiences most get paid faster then they would if they played on merge. But dont play on any other skin other than intertops. Cash games are fine there are some nitty tables but the nits at these tables are just awful. You can find table where 30%+ see the flop in SH and Fring.

current BR 331 just playing a lot of cash mainly 20nl and my new found love heads up cash. HU cash has got to be the most fun in poker ever there just so many more options compared to husng's so many more moves. i plan on moving up to 50 nl when my bankroll hits 500 hopefully i can get there soon.

just a little update before i go to bed.... extremely confident in my game both cash/husng current br 367 just want to hurry up and move through the levels so i can be a 200 nl reg/ 100 husng reg cant wait.

Just a quick little update current BR is 439 just went through the process of verifying my account so i can attempt a cashout to see if any Americans would be interested in playing on intertops. I really should have had my account verified before i deposited specially post black friday (ive learned nothing/Im a fucking idiot.) Everything poker wise is doing well i should be up to 500 before the middle of January unless i get hit by a doom switch hopefully wont happen but we all know how poker is. uggg feel like shit up 4 buy ins vs a fish then it went south from there lost it all then lost 100 dollars safe to say i got fucking tilted after he just won showdown after showdown kid always had it. current BR 319 time to reevaluate my game

Hello tag poker it has been a hell of a long time since ive last updated. After my last spew session i took a nice long break from poker and have just been reviewing my game ive grinded back to 375 mostly in heads up cash. watched a few videos and really thought about how i think about the game of poker. i think ill be playing mostly HU cash with husng's on the side. Cake lets you change your name every week but i think for the sake of me having long term results you guys can see ill just stick to my current name. It is SlagsMcGags on the CPN.
