Joining Bodog is a good choice?Hi,
I'm a USA (wannabe) player.
I believe I would like to join Bodog for $50 to try it out. At this initial membership fee is there any extras (perks, comps, or matched money) that I could get? Is there any other sites you might suggest instead?
I haven't played in years. Years ago I had a lot of fun at Poker Stars playing 7 stud.
I joined BetOnline last week and found out they don't have 7 stud. I've also had serious connection problems. It's not worth the hassle to continue there.
Thanks all,
Bob

I don't have a account there, but I've heard a lot of bad things about their newest update. I'm pretty sure all of their tables are anonymous now. You might want to check into that before joining. I'd look into a merge skin (I think that's the best option for us atm). I know carbon has 7-stud and i assume the rest do as well. gl

Thanks for the reply, two2go.
I got anxious and joined Bodog. You are correct; they have anonymous play. This is ok with me though. I don't need "sucker" branded on my forehead following me around from table to table.
Again, I thank you,
Bob

You do not get a name on Bodog. You are just the seat number. I have no knowledge concerning anything other than the regular tables.

Holy smoke! I'm glad I was only checking the place out, put in $50, and didn't have a cc on file.
Live and learn.
Thanks for the very enlightening information, forced. You and kyleb are true gentlemen.

I have also played in Bodog and have encountered a bit similar. I would suggest for you to play on Black Chips. It is worth the try. I've been playing still.
