Isildur1 at HUSNG

Hey folks!

i just want to ask you about the playing style of Viktor "Isildur1" Blom especially at the HUSNG`s at Pokerstars.
I like his very aggressive play very much and i can`t believe that he made up his way without reading any book of poker or reviewing his hands at any time. he`s just playing and see how he runs.

How do you like his style of playing poker ? (Especially the high-stakes player. Did everyone played against him ?)

Do you think a very aggressive play in HUSNG`s are profitable or not ?

Do you think new poker players today, could make it to the top without getting any poker content ?

That`s my questions for now, i think there will be some more.

best regards !

I will let you in on a secret, any highstakes pro that says they have never read any books , never had any coaching etc etc .... lies.... talking to friends about hands , reading forums about hands are all forms of coaching to improve so "Natrual talent" only gets you so far. Isildur1 has deffo got alot better at husng his 20bb and shorter game was terrible and easily exploited by top regs. I think top husng players still have a big edge on him just due to the structure as he clearly doesnt have as much experience as they do in a much shallower game

mh that depends on what kind of "friends" he had or ? i mean if friends aren`t on your level then i couldn`t say, that`s a "coaching" that helps me, just the other ones.

you said he`s got a lot better at husng and so on ? did you specate him or played against him ? Or do you know anyone who played against him and has replays of it ? I would really like to see it if so Smile.

haha I havent played against him , im not at the 5ks yet!! Very Happy , Spectated quite alot of his matches and Hokiegreg plays him on husng.com video which is pretty interesting
doodiewiz

haha ive seen those games. Pretty crazy that bluff hokie pulled off on the 2nd game if i remember rightly on the river and got called. Thought he looked like a right amateur, but these higher level games dont always make a lot of sense sometimes when im playing the 15 dollars....

Does i have to pay 25$ Membership to look the videos ?
doodiewiz

i think its $25 for a standard membership and you get all the videos with buyins from 5 - 50 dollar games. Its $120 for a membership to watch all the vids over $50 up. The games with isildur are at the $5000 level!

from speaking with hokie, he's not easily exploited by anybody. he has really weird leaks and fundamental errors but they, in themselves, make him difficult to play (that he'll 4bet/happily call off TJ) he puts players in the sickest most awkward spots early on that nobody ever has an easy game, and although his lategame play will be weak, it's not going to be a massive roi leak as the edges are so thin that shallow anyway and it's not like he's a total donko at those stacks.
"he's tough, really tough"

thank you for your statement kierkegaard1 ! Smile
du you know "hokie" personally ? is there a way to get those replays without paying for a membership at husng.com ?

but i don`t understand your statement where you said that Isildur`s weaks/leaks makes him a tough player... i think it`s just a part of his style to play poker (4bet etc.) or is there a guide which says that his play is wrong ?
Wannawin

he's showing a profit after 2k+ games, so he can't be doing bad against PS' finest (only 88k though)
