Fixmygame

I would like to apologize.

After my moment of clarity the other day I've take a step back and really thought about my game.  I want apologize for all the whining and complaining I've done on a continuous basis.  I think 90% of my posts have been complaints about Full Tilt.  About how everyone sucks out.  You want people to be drawing against you right?  Well I'm doing that and I have no control over the rest.  They suck out; so be it.  Move on.   I've read a lot of posts and reviewed some hands that have been posted and just generally thought about my game.  I may be getting my chips in with the best hand but there are so many other areas of my game that have a waterfall of leaks.  I read a post about EV that blew my mind.  I fold way too much.  I am getting run over.  Steam rolled.  Anyway, I consider myself a reasonably smart guy.  I have 2 degrees, make good money, an amazing wife, and 3 amazing children.  A damn good life.  But I want to play poker.  I've tried to quit.  I just come back.  I confess I haven't been the best student of the game.  I've taken Broker's course but I haven't applied it correctly.  I think I tried to learn it like I learned things in college.  Take all the major points and forget the rest.  Well that being said.  I'm going back to school.  I would like some advice from you successful players about how you sat down and learned the material.  How you learned Broker's course.  How you learned about EV and making the least -EV plays and such.  What study aids did you use etc.  School was easy for me so I never learned how to properly and effectively study.

Anyway, I'll stop there. Long rambling post.

Again, I apologize for all the whining in the past.

TAGPOKER rules.

Run HOT.

Thanks.

There's literally no way to sit down and learn everything. I never took Brokers course so I don't know exactly what the videos are like but just keep revisiting and playing.

Playing is important and think about every decision you make. Its not all about crunching out an EV number or how much each will pay against certain ranges, but, to be able to get to the level you wanna be at you have to nail the fundamentals.

If you nail the fundamentals then you can carry a decent winrate at the lower stakes at least. Just focus on making sure you know these types of things and apply that with posting on here and watching videos and, most importantly, practice, and you're going to be able to beat the games.
forced

for me it's almost been like an apprenticeship... slowly but surely it's coming togethor... frustratingly though.
