I'm Back.........Hey Brokerstar & Fellow Crew members
I have been away for a while...... good times and bad times have passed me, so have been away from the grind for a while.
Good times is been travelling for 6 months to Thailand, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, San fran, Los Angeles and most of all VEGAS baby!!!
(Thats the good part)
Since coming back it has been an uphill struggle to secure work what with all the recession still lurking etc.... so have been massively skint and unable to deposit into poker accounts and start getting my grind on the go again. Whilst i did manage to get a job and start to get back on my feet, i was inevitably made redundant so back to square one!!!!
(Thats the bad part)
NOW to give me my poker fix i have logged on to stars a cpl times to either play some freerolls or some cheap tourney.
I would like to post a pic for you to show you how i done in one of those tournies as it was my biggest achievement to date.
It was the pokerstars 75k Guaranteed (Before america pulled out), now its 50k i think???
Any how, after a gruelling 6 hours and 26 minutes i busted 8th out of a starting field of 2657 players - giving my roll a healthy and career best total of $1513.87, the good thing was i bought into a sit and go satellite with points and that is how i got entry!!
I have this site to thank for that, oh and Harrington on holdem too. It has taught me to really look at poker and think about each and every hand that you are given, whilst also thinking about what your potential moves are going to be given what future cards turn face up. THANK YOU BROKERSTAR AND ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now as i am getting back on my feet again and getting some money back in, i am looking to start back up with the heads up work that i was putting in before. I've had my lessons off brokerstar .....(WHICH ARE WELL WORTH IT IF ANYONE IS STILL UNSURE), im going to run the videos again, and go over all notes to get myself back into the speed of things. Quite looking forward to those monthly tournies if they are still happening?????
