1) How many games have you played? Playing a decent sample size is important to establish the results aren't influenced by variance
2) The best way to improve is to post hands on these forums, watch the videos on tagpoker, read posted hands and constantly think...why am I doing X in Y spot vs Z villain?
3) Just play play play, a lot of it is experience where you get a feel for your opponents.
Good luck with it

firstly i'll recommend watching the free video's on this site
learing and see the differences between playerstyles and how to counteract it.
play on a site which offer rake maximum 5% like ipoker network 1.05$ or 2.10$ 5.25$ etc (the bigger sites pokerstars and fulltilt have bigger rake at the micro's but is more profitable if you play above the 5.25$ level because of rakeback on full tilt)
have a good bankroll management plan and move up and down at the right spots which you are comfortable with ( there is somewhere on this site a good bankrollmanagementplan it is the one with the stairs)
but first if you are new too the game watch a lot of vids on the buyinlevel that you play and learn from it
and you can better start with the lower buyins too build up a roll and learn while you play, study your handhistories and ask a lot on this forum at which parts you struggle
gl with it
