ok....ive downloaded my first video lesson.....gonna have a bite to eat and then will watch.

Basically ive been told to watch the  video a few time, take lots of notes in my own handing writing
Then we will have a oral test over skype and if Brokerstar feels like ive got the jist of it....we do the same for next lesson.

I played 3 $2 games earlier to get used to the Cake software as its my first time there and won all 3.

Now after i watch my first lesson im gonna apply it to some games...
I reckon im gonna win my next 3 games after ive watched my first lesson.

Anyone wanna bet me $5 i dont?

Ive watched the video and played one game after(i won)...

The video is about  playing a Calling Station...it goes into detail in showing you how to know when your playing  a Calling Station and a  pre flop/post flop default strategy on how to combat a Calling Station....

Broker advises 3 raising ranges determined by what your starting hands are.
You limp if you have xx or 3x if you have xx or 4/5x if you have xx.

He also has certain post-flop default betting strategy's depending on how the flop hits you.

I spent the first game i played just concentrating/using  Brokers pre-flop raising range  .....im gonna play a couple more games, then watch the video again and concentrate on the post-flop play.....then play some more games .....

Ive have got some questions to ask...but i will watch the video again and see if that answers them...if not then i will  wait for my  skype test to ask questions rather than post on here........i think i will just use this thread for posting my thoughts on the lesson...

Lost my 2nd game ....my QQ vs KK.....someone could have had 5 bucks Laughing

Ive  finished my first lesson on "the calling station" but moved strait onto the 3rd lesson "playing Aggressives Player" as i seem to be coming up against theese playing style more than others...

The fist 20 minutes goes into depth about what hand ranges to use for playing Low Blinds and High Blinds.

Could someone whom has  passed this lesson confirm what level is High Blind/Low Blind for the following  "Cake Network" structure also the same as PokerStars...

10/20        Low Blind
15/30             ?
25/50             ?
50/100       High Blind

Thanks
Brokerstar

25/50 is certainly high blinds but remember that stack sizes also contribute to if you play as if you're in high blinds.

For example if you or your opponent have your stacks crippled early on and you end up with an effective stack size of 10BB or less, then you can play as if you're in high blinds.

Feel free to send me a message on Skype if you're struggling with anything.

You must be a mind reader Laughing i was going to ask some questions how the size of the "effective stack" could change your high/low level strategy, epsally at the low levels
