My roommate and I did a bet from Nov 18-Dec 23, whoever makes the most profit in that time, the other person has to pick up the tab at a restaurant when we went to Vegas (Dec 25-29). He had a profit of over $60, me lets just say it was negative.
It was a BR challenge. We both started w $43 (20BIs at the $2s, can only move up when we have 20BIs for the next level) About 200 games in, he moved up to the 5s. About Dec 10th, I pretty much gave up, knowing I wasn't gonna win. I haven't played a HU SNG since. I just finished watching the HU Condensed course videos from Brokerstar. I'm hoping to put them to use. Gonna give them a go! I like to use FT as my HU SNG site, and PS as my MTT site. So I'm gonna ply a few on PS right away, then I'm gonna re-watch the videos and take better notes the second time around, then play again, then do my 1 on 1 w Brokerstar. THats my plan.

I'm now 3-0 today in $2's. But I still have to re-watch the videos. Even though I won them, the last match was against a Station, I felt like I could have played the whole match better.

Even though he called that turn bet all in, after I bet, I thought I should have bet 300ish (ya the pot was 1700, but I couldn't see him calling with Ace high all in, but he did), then jammed the river.

a br challenge is wat gets the juices flowing and its good that u have a running mate to push u. i would strongly advise never to give up no matter if its the last day. u could go on a super heater and play 12 hours str8 all the way to the 20's. the other guy could lose 100 games in a row. its all about bringing your a game all the time. i compliment u on not playing once u lost focus which is key to being a winner.

little update....
Watched the videos once fully. Took notes on the Station, and a little bit on the 2nd video. Gonna watch(take notes) today on the 2nd and 3rd one today. Then play a little more, then have my 1 on 1 w Brokerstar.
After watching the videos, I am 11-3 in the 2s on Stars. One of the games today, I was down to about 500 in chips, and came back to win it.
I have had two 5 game win streaks. I feel like I'm playing better than I was in my challenge w my roommate, but I still can be playing better.

FWIW, the hand you posted I think is fine, if anything you could bet bigger on the flop if this guy is a total station. He's only got just over a pot sized bet left, I'd prob bet around 600 TBH leaving him 400 & we can jam the turn.
