Hey EveryoneI'm glad I found this site. The free videos that I've watched so far are all very informative, useful, and applicable to the level of games that I play. Almost all the other sites showcase play at stakes that I that I can only dream of given my minuscule "bankroll" (if that's what I'm allowed to call my current $30).
Been playing at Stars for the past two years off and on and have finally come to the conclusion that my post-flop play through showdown (~75% of my game) is atrocious. I'm hoping to make many improvements to my game and am excited to see where my involvement within this forum will take me.
A question for people who have done the condensed HUSNG foundation course, did you feel that you missed out on enough value that if you had to do it again you'd do the live course? Sorry if this is already in the forums. I was more excited to get my first post in than to click the search button.

From taking the course, watching the videos on the site, asking questions, thinking about the game seriously, you can conquer the game in a few months, everything you need is here or a question away. I started with a $50 roll and moved up, $30 is easily doable.

Welcome to TAGPoker .
I started my poker quest with $10 - no reason why you can't succeed with three times that. The $1 games have a 10% rake which isn't ideal, but the players there should be weak enough to allow you a good enough chance at making some money whilst getting some cheap experience. Getting rakeback should be a priority; at the $1.10s, every ~40 games you play will equal a free buy-in you get thanks to rakeback. Well worth it!
It might be cool for you to start a bankroll building thread would be awesome to watch you progress (and no doubt surpass me before long !)
Good luck!

hey man i did the condensed course it is very good but if i could go back i would do the full course just because the amount of knowledge and insight broker can give you, he really knows whats hes talking about. just imagine all the question you have about the game being answered by an expert and that is well worth the extra money for the course

i did the full course and wouldnt trade it for anything. i have been told the condensed class is the same but just the nuts and bolts of the program. the full course you get so much time with broker that u have no recourse but to become a winning player. broker goes above and beyond to make you a winner as long as u follow his advice and adopt parts of his game and work with the feedback he gives you on your game.
gl and i look forward to seeing you grow

Thanks for your positivity and your insight everyone. I have another question if you don't mind. I'm more or less new to playing heads up as my only real experience is playing at the end of a SnG 1-table tourney or in a ring game while waiting for the table to fill up. Would you recommend getting a little experience under my belt before starting a course?

That might be a good idea, if for no other reason simply so you get a little experience with the different parts of the game, and you can have an attempt at putting opponents into buckets like Broker does in his free videos. Good luck!

Hello mate and welcome to the site.
Yes there should be a lot here to get you started for free. With regards to the courses I find that people do get the most out of the full course. The content is the same in both but perhaps the flow of conversation helps with peoples understanding that bit faster.
If you have any questions then either post in teh forum or send me a message.
Good luck man.
