Help choosing a site!I am trying to decide between pokerstars and full tilt, I currently play the reg speed $2 on tilt ($2.15 there instead of $2.20 on stars). I know stars has a slightly slower structure for their reg speeds, and past the $5 level i think both sites have the same rake, 5.25 on each. I don't really mind the pace of full tilt reg speeds but i would assume my ROI would be higher on stars because of the slower format, making those games a better value. I like the software for FTP a lot more than on PS and I have FTP rakeback. I am going to dedicate myself to moving up in stakes and putting in a large volume, so eventually stars would be better in the rakeback regard, if I can get a high enough rank.
Sorry if i started to ramble there.. those are just my thoughts on both sites, and I am having a hard time choosing one past the $5 level. Are there any other factors I have not considered? Anyone else have a preference? Would the stars turbos be similar to FTP reg speeds and also lower rake?
Any input here is appreciated, thanks.

I have played both, and personally I prefer Full Tilt. The Reg Speed structure is spot on in my opinion, it's quite quick, but it's long enough to have an edge.
The Turbos on Stars are similar to Full Tilt Regs, but they are still quite a bit faster. 5 min blinds instead of 6, and one or two (i can't remember) levels missed out.
I prefer the Full Tilt software. I like the fact you get rake back, and the player pool is slightly softer up to the $50s in my opinion. Not to much though.
There isn't to much in it though, both good sites. Stars has better traffic I would say, but at the levels you are playing at, it's pretty good on both sites. Stars has a better time bank, 60 seconds and it auto starts. I find the notes easier to access on Stars too.
Hope that is some kind of help.

That does help, thanks. I was leaning toward stars but i re read their vip program rewards page... apparently i have to achieve a certain level every month then it resets back down to bronze, and i have to do it over again and only the supernova / nova elite accumulate over a year? If that is the case i don't think I see myself making more than 25% rakeback there for a long long while. I think ill just stick with FTP.
as a side note, my goal is to get to 30 BI for the next level then move up and play until i get <25 BI, then move back down and repeat.. see how far i can get. Is that a reasonable plan?
Also, once I profit $100 from husng i am planning on buying the condensed course here.. I have been watching the free vids and they have helped tremendously, but I want to be sure I can make it in this format before i commit.
currently +$10, 90 to go before my goal

If you are playing micro stakes, then Full Tilt will be better because of the rake back. You wont get anywhere near supernova until you are at the $100s, or at least putting mega volume in at the $50s. So yes you wont get anything like the 27% rakeback you can get on Full Tilt.
You can get the rakeback at Full Tilt through this site I believe. I will leave BrokerStar, or his sidekick to give you a link to that. You should be able to find it easy enough, if you look through the forum section list.

I already have rakeback at tilt, sorry for the misunderstanding. I am going to stick with it on FTP, thanks for your help!

I was in the same situation as you and chose Full Tilt. Rakeback is nice, but I love their new hand history console too.

I am at FTP now because I like the deepstack husngs. But, I know I have to change soon. The game selection (shark/fish ratio) means that I have to go to pokerstars.

im playing on stars due to it being the only site i can get onto inside uni
what i would say is your ROI will be a little higher on stars but not by much, also on stars the VPIP program doesn't really pay off till your playing £50+ as far as i can work out.
Fulltilt i think will be better till $50-100 but then it might be worth getting some money on stars as there is more traffic.
