FTP Points

So I've never used my points to buy anything at all. My questions is if I buy something they take it out of my Rake for the week?? Does anyone have any experience with this? And if so, is it x/% amount of the item cost or what? Thanks in advance to any responses. -SD

I'm not 100% sure on the amount but I know they deduct anything you spend points wise from your MGR (monthly gross revenue).

That's why from time to time people see their stats graph for their rackback have negative days.

ok, so what is the right use of the points one attains then.

no i think the point is that spending them is the right use even if you lose some rackback as im sure that the points are worth more than rackback you would recive!

I think perhaps while roll building its not a great idea to use the points, but after you have built the roll and moving up in stakes...its fine. And the reason is because the rake you get at the lower limits if you put in volume can really add to your BR and assist in getting you to move up all the faster. Of course the rake back gets even larger as you move up, BR building with say $50 deposit that rake really helps. Just my .02!

There used to be certain tournaments that you could buy in to without eating in to your rakeback, providing there was no overlay on the tournament. However I believe that has stopped now to, as they changed the system for buying tournament tickets.

It is quite a gray area to be honest, you could ask a hundred people (including Full tilt support) and get 30 different answers. In honesty, unless there is some tournament you really want to play, and would play anyway, then I would leave them alone.

Your points though obv.
forced

how many points to you need to buy anything worthwhile anyway?   edit... nevermind, looking now. Got lazy i guess.

holy crap, looks like Im going to have to play for another 10 years to get anything worthwhile here.... or move up in stakes real quick....
