not sure I played optimally on the hand you had 89 (for a straight) and I had 87 to say the least.. what do you think? Was not sure wether to raise the flop either.. on the river I just tried to go for a blocking bet, but I don't think that was a good spot for it.. must have been the alcohol:) | ||||

ok, with the momentum of the game here, I figured you would have been adjusting to my game, with this is mind and the flop coming down 557 with 2 clubs, I fired a standard cbet, fully expecting it to be raised. U made it 2.5 times my cbet. With a gutshot, and keeping in mind the game flow, ez call for me to see one card...imo. If you reraised a little more... i might have folded. As it turns out I hit my gutshot.... and u fired what appeared to me as a weak blocker bet.... ez reraise.
p.s.--- I dont know if these are the right lines to take.... Im just doing whats working for me at the moment... |

It is now time for a gin and tonic. 3 more buy in's and I am going to start stabbing the $30's---- im doing a bit of an aggressive bi strategy--mainly because I am finding most players so far that sit me at the $20's are weak. So im allmost at 20 bi's for the $30's and I start stabbing!! graph to come when I hit that $600+ mark! currently sitting at 26% roi for the 20's |

and I was within $5 of my goal to move to the $30's. Now im 6 bi's away.... grrrr also on PS i joined a $5 hu 64 player winner takes all tournament guess where I placed?---- yup! 2nd fecking place to a fish!!! It was all in or nothing with this guy, after alot of folding i was dealt AQ---- I raise, he shove's... Im like YAH!.... come to papa $$$ he turns over 44.... and turns a straight.... ffs... |

sucks when you are just about to move up and you hit a downswing. Good thing it wasn't at the 30s as an 8 bi downswing there would no doubt severally hurt your psyche if you only have 20 buy ins for the level. Thats the only reason why I like to have a little more buy ins.. I know I don't need 50 buy-ins before playing the 50s, but I'm going to anyways, cause I know how devastating and how awful my playing could get if I got a 10 buy in downswing without some added padding.. it will be even with 50 bi's for sure, but at least it wont be as bad.
After you have got yourself out of the downswing, you should consider wether you really want to move up to the 30s at 600 or not. Depends on how well you tackle situations like the one you are in now |

obviously, if I had dropped below $600, i would be playing the $20's.... so losing 8 in a row at the $30's would never happen...

ok.... what a struggle it has been to get 3 buy ins... I have $599.91 --- I'm changing my $30 stabbing goal from $600 - $630... so hopefully a couple more wins today and I'll start stabbing at the $30's.
I gotta say--- it became very frustrating getting it in good and getting sucked out on so much these last hundred match's!!!!! ONE HUNDRED MATCH'S!!!!! (allmost)... to get 3 buyins up! fml. Of course I tilted some buyins away from getting constantly sucked out on.... there are 6 new holes in the wall i have to fix as well. Hopefully the next two match's come ez...and yes.... all sober!

well, it took me another 10 games, but i got there, officially stabbing at the $30's!!!
I think I will wait till tomorrow before I attempt my first $30 match, gonna celebrate with a ice cold refreshing gold homebrewed bubbly!

ok, im at 250 match's since vowing not to play drunk... currently stabbing the $30's and not doing badly--- had three real bad suck out (thank you full tilt) and played at least 2 maybe 3 real bad games... I was just not on the ball at all, played very poorly and was disgusted with myself... anyways onward and upward!
funny thing, I have more money in my account than ever, and my ss graph is'nt at it's peak. I'm assuming this is because of rake? at the peak there I had $710--- where it stands now I have $725. |

You can add rakeback to your SS graph if you want for your own use. Just go to the settings and add the percentage what you get from the site you play on. Then do your search. |

well, I am seriously upset... one of these days Im going to take a few pics of my walls. It has'nt seemed to matter how I approach any situation this last week or so. whether I slow play, shove, value bet or anything. I lose huge game turning pots to suckouts. I admit, I sometimes have called some big hands saying to myself 'no fng way, he could'nt possibly have called me down and hit runner runner again' There's no fng way that's possible for the 4th straight game, all different oppenants. But alas, I guess ftp needs to keep donks in the game. And yes, 'most' of my opponents have been losing players.. I just dont get it. I understand variance... but im sure if you'd seen some of these hands and plays you'd be left scratching your head as well.
anyway, here's the graph now... ss was down for a couple days... so Im not even sure if its all there... but I went from $800 to $520. The little upswing in this graph (around game 260) I could'nt sleep and it was 2am.... I won 3 straight games and said to myself... finally, the doomswitch is off!!... however.. not to be. and yes, been back to the $20's since $630

Just a bump in the road dude. You remember when I did the roll challenge, I moved between the 30's and 50's like four times.
Forget running bad, you've moved up several stakes in your time here and you know you'll be moving up several more in no time. Feel sorry for the walls when you hit your first swing at the $100 level

ok, so things have seemingly gone back to normal with me and FTP. Although I am now back to $700, i've only been playing the $20's cause i've been too nervous about the constant suck outs last week. Tomorrow I start the $30's again.

I really hope you make it this time forced. Must say I admire your discipline. A 300 dollar downswing would feel devastating for me and probably remove me from the tables for a good while even though I have more than double your roll. Hope I can be able to endure such swings like you do, keeping at it even though it all seems to go against you making you question your game etc. From the short timespan that I last checked your thread you have posted two times, once when you lost 300, and the second one stating that you already have made back 200 of it. ok, havent progressed much lately which is really pissing me off... everytime I get to with in a buyin of breaking $900. (It's been 8 times trying to break the $900.00 mark.) I lose to some ridiculous fish. Many things have broken around this desk. anyway... was time for a new pic of the graph... grrrr.

Sucks forced, but try to remember it as $ per game your winning. I seem to be running fairly bad at the 30s myself, but it'll pass, just don't tilt and you'll see your graph become more steady

yeah... I seem to tilt hard when I get a few 2 or 3 outers constantly hitting.... It's a hard one to get a grasp on for me... specially when my 9-15 outers seem to rarely hit.... anyway... tilt control is something I do have to work on. | ||||

This is B.S. another $300 downswing of mostly suckage. Incredible 2 and 3 outer suckage. Some amazing chase's by idiots... and loss's to players wich have'nt won more than 5 games in 50.

but it seems to me that you have hit a wall some things it may be 1. Your financial mind isnt high enough ie have you had had this amount of money before, as i found when i got around the 1k mark for the first couple of times i had a downswing i think partly because i never had 1k before. 2. dont think 900 as a target. Often targets as specific as that you get close to and then you PAY THE WANTING IT TAX because its your target you say to yourself JUST ONE MORE GAME AND I HIT MY TARGET. what actually happens is your mindset changes from playing your usual game to almost playing scared cus you dont want to lose this game because by winning it you hit that elusive target. 3. STOP LOOKING AT YOUR STATS WHILST PLAYING, when i register for a game i do it as quick as possible because then i have no idea what my bankroll is at the time. sidenote it looks like you have had 3 downswings on this graph. My question to you is on the first 2 downswings what was the reason and did you learn anything from it because EVERY downswing ive had it made me a better player because i learnt so much from it. well im still on an epic downsing and back to the $20's. When i do play the odd game there, im getting incredible beats. So i've started playing on stars and doing well. kinda screws up the graphs though.

im definately taking a break from full tilt... im not getting the same problems at PS. i've exchanged this laptop 3x in 6 weeks now, and it might be 4x soon... so the HH's are gone... |
