Hey guys I'm Mike from Norwich UK, stumbled upon this site after looking for advice on HUSNG's and after having a quick read etc thought this is one of the best poker sites I have seen full stop.
Been playing online for around 4yrs now mostly Mtt with several 4 figure scores thru the years.
Had a terrible time with sng's end of last year with variance and it carried on this year so while going thru my SS records I realised playing HU has always been winning form for myself. Obviously all the biggest money is made playing it as well so why I hadn't thought about it sooner god knows.

Babbling here sorry. Basically spent a couple of months playing 180s and 18s trying to put volume into them after speaking to fellow grinders as they said volume per day is only way to beat variance. Was just wondering is it the same pretty much for HU games? Is there a set number of games I should be getting thru? I 2 table the $5's with BR sitting at $175, I'll go on runs of 5 straight wins with good solid poker then no fault of my own suckout the next 3 and get pissed off.

Any advice greatly received as I would love to be like my fellow brits who have ripped it up from small stakes.

in regards to volume, most people play 1 table, in HUSNGs varience can be much smaller so you don't need to quote on quote grind it out as much in other game types. Also if you 1 table you can focus harder on your opponent and get better reads.

Hello there mate welcome to the site.

I think getting focused on one form of the game is a great way to channel your skills and really improve. After you master one variation you'll almost certainly see improvements in any form of poker you play.

Thanks guys really looking forward to learning more and more and trying to plug my leaks as much as possible.
Was just wondering if anyone with sharkscope sub if they can tell me my HU stats for reg speed $5's and turbo $6's just to see figures? Unsure which I run best at even though I have a tiny sample.

most people 1 table as u can truly focuse on exploiting your opponent and ajusting to his style. i used to be a mtt and sng player but i like u found hu and loved it. use the free videos and the forums they are the best tools
