Family First.hi guys,it's been about 2 years since I've found Tagpoker. During these two years I have worked hard on my poker game. Much like Blazing, I thought I could whip through the levels and make shitloads of extra cash.. I Have made some money online every year, somewhere around $2-$3000.00 per year. However, my live game has come togethor somewhat impressively...something I credit to Tagpoker. This month alone I'm over $5000.00 and that's probably less than 80 hours play time <---brag. Beat----> well... I would play poker all evening long online, and whenever I could live. With out me realizing it, I have been neglecting my home, wife, children, and personal life.... This has allmost destroyed my marriage recently... I somehow lost track of the most important people in my life, in the pursuit of poker chips. My wife is very understanding, therefore I never seen it coming, Until it was allmost too late. I am taking a step back from poker and getting my family life back on track. I will still be around, still play online and live of course.... just I will be scaling it down quite considerably... allready have infact. I definately will still be checking in here... it's kind of another addiction...lol anyways... here's to hoping none of you do what I did and neglect your family without even realizing you were doing it. Everything is mostly back on track in my life now... so no worries. cheers guys! and good luck! |

Good work.
Never take my family for granted, that's probably why I never quite make it at the poker. Don't care, they are far to important, I'd never find another wife (very soon to be at least) as good as what I have now. And my kids make me so proud every day. Never forget what is important, or like you say, it can be gone before you even realise. |

I can certainly relate to that my man.
So many girls love me making pretty good money from poker at first but give them a few months of me always checking out weak games, teaching, talking about poker with mates, being in the forums, etc, etc and they swiftly get over it ha ha. If I was married with kids I'm sure I'd have to re think things

To be honest women have come and gone my whole life and I wouldn't change any of them for the world. Nearly all of them had positive impacts on my life and if it wasn't for Leah (my most recent, serious girlfriend) then Tagpoker would never have come into existence in the first place. I'd just be a lonely prop player, playing 5/10 games, being paid to play poker whilst living in my villa in the tropics, having food bought to me on a silver platter and my hardest choice being which nationality girl I want to talk to that evening. What a sad life that would of been (that is a joke of course, I love this site and wouldn't change it for the world although that lifestyle probably wouldn't be far from the truth).
Too many guys (in my humble opinion) get far too hung up over one girl and let it ruin a good chunk of their life. The way I see it is that we're here for such a short space of time that it would be tragic to live a life that you were not 100% happy with on both our parts. Besides, with every door that closes, a new and younger one opens

When you find the right one, you will know. If you ever have to ask yourself it you are with the right girl, then you aren't. Also, if they don't like what you do, then they really don't want you, for who you are. Not like women are going out of fashion, there are millions of them out there ! |
