Over the last month or so I have been trying to build up a decent HUSNG sample size, to kind of work out where I am in terms of ability.

Over 137 games at mainly the $5 level I am showing winnings of -$4.79 and an ROI of -0.8%. However my EV ajusted winnings are $60.01 and ROI is 10.8%. I've had alot of games where I've lost getting it in with a dominating ace, overpair v underpair etc and other post-flop situations with excellent equity (top pair v 1 over etc). I know this is part of the game so I try not to let it bother me, but how much can I read into the EV ajusted winnings as a barometer of how well I'm actually doing in HUSNG? (I'm aware that 137 games isn't much of a sample either, but it's all I have as a marker)

In cash games it's generally accepted that the EV line isn't really worth a whole lot, but with the amount of times I've got it in as a big favourite and lost, I can't help but think that I've been a little unlucky in my results so far. I've had downswings before and I'm happy to put in the volume and ride the variance out, but I'd like to know that I am at least a little better than a -0.8% loser in the games too!

being that far under EV it does sound like you have been unlucky to some decree! However i personally don't think HUSNG EV line actually is of any use (apart from to make very board statments of how your running) I would say that breaking even over 137 games isn't that bad, but it probally means you have a few leaks somewhere!

my advice is that you post some hands on the fourm and getting chatting to people on skype and see if you improve from there.

Yes the sample size is far too small to know one way or the other what's going on but to be honest the games at that level are so easy that you should be smashing them up with a solid game plan.

I'm making a new product for HUSNG's at the $20 games as I find that some guys get stuck at this level after figuring out how to crush the micros. It will be like 20 live matches of me vs a mix of agro players and regs with a classroom style vid on beating those player types too. I'll keep everyone posted for when it's done.

dude, first customer for the vid pack right here! Im a bit stuck at the 20's at the moment. This would really help...two things i've noticed at the 20s, some of the guys are actually reading board texture and adjusting more it appears...
