That's actually a funny hand and who says there is no money HU. Don't think you need to jam the flop though as in a lot of cases we get folds or we're beat.
Depending on villain I either like CR smaller or check/ call and then CR the turn I just think we're over playing out hand on the flop here against most of the poker world.
You have money heading your way in sklansky bucks though.

Tbf, jamming that is pretty gross on the flop.

Taken in absence of the rest of the gameflow - yes it is. But given the way the flow had gone up til this point, I felt it was a reasonable jam against a villain who had shown himself to be loose and who had a wide opening range on the button. Given that he had opened with Q4 then called off the flop with Q high, surely this vindicates that reasoning? Granted its a non-standard line, and against a tighter villain (or the rest of the poker world, as Dom put it, made me lol) is negative EV (he cant realistcally call with a weaker holding than K7) I fully recognise that.
Yathinkk, Id be interested to hear your thoughts in more detail.

I'm not saying you never had any reasoning for it but I'd sooner just raise for value on the flop and build a pot for the turn or if he's really agro then CR the turn, there's a couple of drwas out there so I don't mind a CR on the flop in that case.
Even against a player that calls it off super light on flops I still wouldn't feel the need to do it on this flop, this deep with my hand as played.

Wow rapid response there Dom - Il bear those thoughts in mind when Im playing tonight. Feel like I have been deviating from the small-ball strategy of late - I guess its a good thing I lost this hand then or I wouldnt have posted it up lol.
Nonetheless if I could stop being done over by runner runner's (got done again last night with A7 on a A76 flop, with A4 moving in on me then hitting running 5 and 3) it would be nice!

His call was fine. He has a lot of draws:
- runner runner flush draw
- runner runner straight draw
- runner runner set
- runner runner two pair
And you jam with top pair?! What were you expecting?!?!
Now seriously...don't jam there, you are throwing money away
