Ellusionist's 50-Pro challengeHey guys I just signed up for brokerstars condensed course and need a sense of accountability to really try to make this work for me. So With that in mind I figured i'd post my starting goals and update this thread with my progress.
Goals:
-Completely go through and take notes on the full course upon arrival.
-Transform from losing player to long term winning player.
- Get staked, join the top team and play as a career.
Starting BR: $50 on full tilt.
Im going to be spending the night and most of tommorrow studying the material and tommorrow night will be my first night of grinding. Wish me luck!

Be a winning player with a minimum of 5% ROI I believe (doesn't guarantee you'll get a shot though), be active on the forum by posting hand histories, helping other's with there tricky spots etc etc.
Then there's volume targets to hit also.
Speak to Brokerstar about it is your best bet to be honest.

alot of it is how active you are in the forum and how much you give back to the comunity.

Great to see a new roll thread so map your progress during and after your training. I love seeing these things progress.
With regards to the Top team it's a mixture of how active you are on the site and how much volume you play. Continually maintaining the volume has been the biggest issue for most players in the past and currently there is only one staked player on the team at the moment but there have been more in the past that have all done a great job when they played.
Best of luck OP and be sure to Skype me with any questions you have or anything you're struggling with when it comes to the strategy in the course.

Update day one:
BR: from 55 to 50.
Game: Played well early on in the night raising my bankroll from 55 to 63 but had a bad run late. Might be because of tiredness I feel I may have forced the last two games.. Having trouble classifying alot of players into a "type" need to study. Not too dissapointed, still got 45 tilt points
Rakeback: Hasn't updated im assumeing it takes a couple of days:/
Studying: Read completely through the course today and took about 7 pages of notes, still having trouble identifying player types so im going to watch one video of each type tommorrow and review my notes.
Lets hope tommorrow brings a better day

Update Day two.
Didn't get done everything I wanted to today, very busy.
BR: 50 to 46 :/ Only played a couple games, think im playing better just running bad. Guess we'll find out.
Game: Identifying players a little bit easier, might not be evolving my game as other players strategy evolves. Must re-read notes and stick to laid out strategy better instead of going with the "flow of the game"
Studying: I watched 2 of each player type video on the main page, definetly improved player identification. Tommorrow I plan on concentration on leak finder videos to perhaps pick up on some rookie mistakes, it would be nice to turn this loseing streak around.
Wish me luck

Update day 3:
Very painful day, I really think im playing much better poker but on the other hand can't imagine running this bad either. Double down on studying tommorrow and have brokerstar looking over a match for me.
BR: 46 to 33 :/
game: Need to play against aggressive players much better, seems like im running into 60% aggressive players.
Studying: I watched a whole bunch of leakfinder and aggro player videos today, will repeat same tommorrow.
Oh and my skype name is ellusionist19 if anyone gets bored and wants to hit me up, im studying poker or playing poker pretty much 18 hours a day until I go busto or become profitable. At this rate I think I may drop from the $2 dollars to the $1 dollars
To end on a positive note, I did play 31 games today

I am surprised more people haven't tried for the Top Team, it is a great opportunity for players to springboard up to the mid stakes, if they have the desire and dedication for it.
Apart from that , having BrokerStar and Borg as mentors, is just priceless really. You can't really put a price on how much advice from two players of that calibre is worth.
I'm not getting paid for this advertisement by the way honest It just struck me that not many people mention it, or going for it anymore.

Day 3 update:
After a full day of studying, I win 3 straight 1 dollar games, go up a level and lose 3 straight 2 dollar games....so I drop a level and proceed to lose 4 more straight 1 dollar games..... Like seriously, after studying poker strategy like crazy I can't beat the 1 dollar games? Reallly frustrated :/
