donkingJust wondering when it becomes profitable to donk? Atm I think I'm only really leading flops vs really tight or really loose players (when we hit) or on a really wet board and I'm going for value/protection. Is that a good strategy and are there other situations that I should be donking?

Vs LP lead when you hit to build a pot
Vs TP I lead about 10-15% of the time, just per my style i prefer to check it to them and lead the turn 90-100% manly because if they have a monster they will bet flop and you can fold and not worry
Vs Lags, pretty pointless unless you think it will induce a spazz out imo
Vs TAGs, im still working on this myself as i don't really have any set rules. One thing to not is that if a player has a high Cbet percentage OR if there doing a limp/stab style its pretty good to lead with bluffs as there have air alot and its cheaper than C/Ring. In this situation its better on dry boards and on a wet board if i have TPGK/TPBK then im more likly to C/R just to build a pot.
Also go find some vids kierkegaard has posted as i think he go's though leading with value hands and good reasons for it (i can't remember specifics and don't want to miss quote)

It's something I don't do (nearly often enough) Although it is highly frustrating to play against someone who does it often.
The main time I do it, is as BMM said above, when you are playing someone who doesn't like folding, I will lead for value nearly always, cos they just check behind to often.

Yup me too. I think that the majority of donking I've seen is fish donking with air all the time so it's kinda imprinted in my brain that donking is bad play but of course there are situations where it would be bad play not to. Also like you say sometimes I'm always looking to CR but villains low c-bet freq justifies donking.

For a lot of donk bluffs to be successful you need to bluff the turn as well (because people flat them so wide IP). On certain flops where there are very few hands villain can call a second street with this can be really profitable.
