donk betting calling stations

Hey

What do you do vs these guys.

I just found myself crash and burn (not tilting) but got whittled down and ended up pushing A3o right push according to nash equliblabla vs his 77

he called any of my raises where i had hands above AT+ except for the 3 times i had JJ and AK and AJs

when i raised he would call and start min donk betting every street.
when i limped he min re raised everytime and started min donk betting every street. I tried calling down in the first few blind levels with Ahigh. he turned or rivered a pair everytime. so i stopped that quickly.

how do you approach this type of person ?

help help Smile

Tighten up - play your strong hands and raise the donk bets if you hit the flop and go for 3 streets of value.

Min raise hands you want to see a flop with instead of limping

Dont blufff a calling station

Eventually you will trap them when they call off half their stack with bottom pair

Smile I realised your alot more experienced than me in heads up, but thought i would answer anyway, when i said tighten up thats prob wrong, more like play all playable hands, use position.

I have taken the condensed course, however its all condensed in my head and recall is a bit patchy at times  Shocked

I read a good article on the pokerstrategy website this morning acually about calling stations. Not sure on posting the link though. Google it and im sure it will come up.

Good Luck

hehe well. maybe not "more experienced" i guess. its been a while ive played husng. but ive been here on tagpoker a long time at least. since 28 nov 2009 oh wow Very Happy that long ago. But any answer is a good answer as i say. as long as you "dare" to give your opinion in my opinion it makes a good answer (well depends on whether it is on the subject or not 2+2 learn to have a REAL Forum) Very Happy  but yeah i get what your trying to say. and ill definitely try and use it next time because that playertype even though ive been here a long time im still very annoyed with this playertype as i cant exactly "crack the code" so to speak of these as of this moment.
