Hello everyone, my name is Daniel, I Am 22 years old. I signed up with broker's Pokerstars promotion hoping that if I am not a winning player at HuSNGs then after a few 1-1 sessions I will be. I started a thread around 8 months back which seems a very long time from now due to many changes in my life, getting engaged, getting a job and moving into a house. I am better at poker or I believe so at least, and I am willing to stay motivated and disciplined to complete this €100-€5,000 challenge. I wish to complete this by January or early 2012. I have had problems before with tilt and have tended to either bust rolls by playing bigger stakes or cash out. A few months ago I completed the IPAD2 bonus on Lock poker playing a lot of DoNs, I had a thread on 2+2 which helped me stay motivated and also the fact I Had a goal kept me on track and made sure I didnt do any stupid things (playing stakes underrolled) I will update a few times each week and also post interesting hands. I hope to maintain a ROI of around 10% at least through the smaller stakes. Another issue is my volume, sometimes I lack it but I aim to play at least 1500 to 2000 games before 2012.

I started this around a week ago, however due to my sister having to go to hospital due to a lot of blood loss and other things I haven't managed to get many games in. Sorry about that broker!

I also want to apologise for a really boring and all over the place intro, anyhow time to sleep now and hopefully make money in the afternoon when I wake up!

I shall play the €5 games until €300 or whenever I feel I'm ready. I shall from there on play a on 30-40 buy in bankroll.

Hey guys, good to see some of you with me on .fr, The biggest problem with me is getting in volume, I have played 50 games so far, which is pretty much nothing, (and they are turbos). Anyhow here is my graph, I can't wait to get another 50 in and get that session from broker

Traffic on .fr isn't actually as bad as you'd think. Especially at the turbos. I find that I'm never waiting more than 1 minute for a game.

Well, I tried playing around 15 or so games after work, gonna go sleep now, I realised its mainly me playing horribly trying to end games fast that causes me to lose, also making huge bluffs vs 5Euro level calling stations. When I wake up tomorrow I shall try some more games, this time more relaxed and I shall try focus in making correct decisions and exploiting my opponents. I'm having a problem vs really aggro players, I find it hard to put them on ranges when they practically raise everything and reraise very often. In my last 40 games or so my EV ROI% has gone down, would this suggest I am playing worse?

If you've had coaching from Broker, review your aggro lessons, go to the link where Broker shows vids by player time (NFI where that is ATM, can't seem to find it), and watch all the aggro player vids, while taking notes. The key to beating this game is studying/learning, and putting in the volume.

Thanks Jakester, I've seen you on here and 2p2 getting involved a lot and helping out, I hope you run well and goodluck!

My BR is around 160 Euro, after I lost around 10 buy-ins I fell into a break even stretch and I honestly cannot blame it on variance or lucky french players, I was playing poorly after 2-3 bat beats - pretty much playing very loose aggro and bluffy - fighting fire with fire. Watched a few videos on here and studied some content a bit and I shall stay focused now.

On another note, Broker if you see this, I am sorry for not having enough time for a session right now, I shall let you know when I'm free soon. Also do I receive access to the condensed course, or will all that be explained during the session etc...?

One more thing, does anyone know a free good hand replayer? And What is the best way show and upload Hands from Hand Histories(I have HEM).

Anyhow I'm feeling a little to mellow from smoking now and just lost two games cos of it, however not one sign of tilt was shown which is a positive aspect. But I shall sleep now, Goodluck all!

www.universal-replayer.net is a good and free hand replayer. But you could also use HEM. Just select a tourney-->select all-->right click on a hand and select Replay all hands.
For the upload thing. Just right click on a hand and select View Selected Hand Histories-->copy that code in www.handconverter.com and select phpBBForums as the output format.

Thanks for your reply guys, the course is great broker, thanks. Well after my high point of 205 or so Euro, it all fell down to 80Euro. It was just me playing tilted and badly, I am at 100Euro now, where I started Sad

Anyways if I drop back down to 80Euros then I shall move down a stake. Also a general change of strategy (more limpy one) will make me have to get used to it and better at it, although I am countering players much better now. I guess just practice will be needed, and I also need to fold hands when I know I'm beat and not bluff half or my whole stack away.

Ah one more thing, was versus a player that pushed all in A LOT, from SB or when raised/limped to him, sometimes on the flop with 200 in the middle etc.
Was a pleasure to flop this hand and see his donk bet all in. He did have a strong hand either way.

I'm going to set goals for October even though it is mid October.

-I plan to grind my bankroll up to 700 euros to start taking shots at the 20s.
-I hope to achieve silver star which should be a walk in the park.
-Maintain a 10% ROI.
-Keep calm and try not to tilt (I still find it hard at times but slowly managing better)

As for today it has been a good +80 Euro day, which may be less than a buy in for some but hey. Smile

Br is at around 450euros, today was up to 475 and it fell to 370 but managed to get it up for 20 Euro profit, yay Smile

I'm kinda ill and might not go to work tomorrow, so may have to grind instead. One thing that baffled me was that I entered a game with 437euros (10 euro husng) and lost it and didn't lose any money?? Anyways goodluck all!

Hey guys, Only played 7 games today, As I opened up PS.fr i really wanted to play and auto-registered a hyper Husng that is at the top of list under "Low"... Well I thought it was the "low" tab selected and I ended up sitting a 50Euro game which I won, as my enemy was a fish. My AA held up vs his 77 AIPF, and finished the game TT vs his 66 AIPF. Anyways. I think I will go through Broker's course another time as I do feel as I am forgetting certain important aspects.

Anyways today +78 Euro
BR at 533 Euro.

Hey Guys, br is at 550 euros, was up to 590 but wasn't in the 'zone' and didn't really play my A game. also got it in as favourite a few times but got bad beat, eg K9 vs J3 on KJ9 board and runner runner 3's come. Lately I have been breaking even in the last 120-130 games, and I know I haven't been playing too good, mainly due to tilt, I am just hovering around the 600Euro level. I have started spewing chips away at times, not even thinking through why I am betting or bluffing just for the sake of it. Well its time to change, going through the course material again. Hi all, well the last week/week and a half I have been running break even and could not get passed 550-600 Euros, things finally changed (hopefully) and I am at 708 Euros and will start taking shots at the 20Euro level.
Thing is my EV line shows me at breakeven and throughout the upswing as well in which I am slightly concerned. Here is this months graph.

I acheived silver star and will go for Gold in November, I managed to reach a 700 Euro bankroll and my ROI is above 10% (12.7% and 9.5% EV ROI)

I have over 250 games played at the 10 Euro level and I hope to have a session with Broker soon. But for now good luck all! Smile

First shot, at 20's I think 2 wins, 8 or 9 losses. Most games vs TAG's and I also ran v bad vs few donks, for example getting JQ in on Q109, he had 107 and hit a 7 on the river. Same opponent, i have AJ on J66 and he calls a cbet, 10 on turn, calls a bet of 60-70% of my stack and a Q on the river, insta-all in's showing Q10. God damn ridiculous. Will have to grind back up at the 10's now.

BR: 560 Euros.

Decided to give the 20's a bigger shot than 5 buy ins, I even lost 12 Buy-ins! I always tend to finish a game quicker when I lose a few buy ins to try to recover it quicker, BR is at 584 and I am taking my time or getting off poker, but damn... the amount of suckouts i received has been vast, however in recent games, I had the chip advantage and even though I lost a all-in a few times I managed to comeback and win the games. eg AA vs 66, AK vs KJ, AT vs A4. To be honest I feel bad for complaining now, I just need to suck it up and play my A-game. P.S. totally owned some regs that have 1k's+ in profits which im quite happy about, and I don't mean by just flips. Im sure losing this much money to some is nothing but losing 240 Euros was pretty tragic to me in 1 day. Sorry for rambling on without great structure, just wanted to get shit out.

Hey everyone, sorry for not updating in a while, I have not played much this month due to being busy with important stuff being sorted out and work. I have played 14 hours/120 games. I hope to play 40 hours for the month. On the bright side my BR has finally reached €1,000, I mainly played the €20's with the odd €10's when im starting a session and also dabbled in a few €50's when I saw a huge fish sitting there, but I guess its not the best thing to do so, I'll just wait till I have a high enough BR.

Today has been hell, I have tilted away loads of games and lost so many games where I went in as a huge favourate. -340 Euros for the day, 300 Euros under EV. I am seriously pissed off at the fucking fish at .fr.

Should have taken CDM's advice to call it a day when I was down 200e lol. I really have a problem not having a stop loss. I am going to take tomorrow off from poker, maybe the day after that, and possibly the one following and just get away for a bit(mentally). . I didn't have a session with broker after 100 games at the 10e level nor the 20e level, and I hope its still available, if so I will let you know upfront when I'm free. I am mainly playing losing fish all the time and I have tried 2 tabling but it has not gone so well, I cannot focus entirely on both tables therefore I am only going to try to 1 table the 500 games. I have one problem which has stuck with me for a long time where I know I am beat but still end up calling or calling off too big at marginal spots. This whole post is just mess, I am just writing anything that I have to say that comes to my head, I am tired.

Hello Guys, Its the end of the Year and unfortuntunately the end of this thread, however I shall be starting a new thread with regular updates.

December started off bad playing mediocre poker and achieving breakeven/losing results, but mid way through I personally believe I put in much more effort, focus and managed to run really well.

Here is the graph for the first half, I've always had a problem with tilt and actually played 15 100e's, going 8-7. I set limits at 20e and recently moved it up to 30e after reaching 1,500€:
