DanielDG's HuSNG Bankroll buildHello everyone,
My name is Daniel, I am 21 years old and from London. I have played for around 2 years and have been a losing player throughout as I would make small deposits, 'try' and play with correct bankroll management(mainly cash games and some 9-man Sit and Go's) and after a bad beat or a few losses I would end up tilting really easily and playing a terrible game at higher stakes. I would also think I am better than I actually am and play 4-6 tables at once which never really worked out well.
Not long ago I started playing HuSNG's and have enjoyed them, I have also seen so many people (kierk, borg, etc) build up to thousands starting with very little. I heard of this site on 2p2 and decided to have a look, Brokestar has done an amazing job IMO, and all the vidoes and information have helped. I like the friendliness on this site and would like to keep a thread running here.
I have $126.77 and I am playing the $5.25 HuSNG's and $6.25 turbo's atm, I have played just under 50 games from the moment I told myself that this is it... I really want to be successful at poker, especially HuSNG's and hopefully one day maybe even have it as a full time job or atleast a side income.
I play on fulltilt on DanielDG, if you do sharkscope me or what ever, please do not get scared by the horrible results. Hopefully one day it will all be positive.
I will play with the following Bankroll requirements:
$2 -> up to $75
$5 -> $75 - $250
$10 -> $250 - $600
$20 -> $600 - $1,200
$30 -> $1,200 - $2,500
That will be the goal so far, to earn enough to be rolled for the 50's, I think 50 buy-ins will be good, depending on how i run and if I can control my tilt better.
Results so far:
Bankroll: $126.77
$5.25 HuSNG: 15-6
$6.25 HuSNG: 17-10
If anyone has anything to say or criticise, please do not hesitate

Welcome to the site my man. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and the forum.
Do make the most out of them, they have helped a lot of people get on the right track.
Good luck with your bankroll, lots of others have done the same so no reason you can't.

Very good, you have a solid plan there. Always good. Few things of note, firstly don't forget to have a plan about when you are going to move back down (if at all needed) It will probably happen, you need to have a strict cut off point where you say enough is enough, and go down a level, until you rebuild your roll, and go back with more experience and confidence hopefully.
Secondly, I would choose to play either reg speeds, or turbos. Very different games, as in you need to be spot on with your end game to play turbos profitably. Obviously solid end game is needed as standard in either, but I would recommend the reg speeds for now, they are pretty quick on Full Tilt anyway. If you would rather pursue the turbo route, well at least you know what you need to be working on from the off.
Good luck in your quest

Hello all, thank you hjbear and z1s. Also a big Thank you to you Brokerstar. (I accidentally spelt your name as Brokestar in my first post, I do apologise )
Thanks to Blazing_Saddler too! I forgot to add that I will drop down when I drop 4 buy-in's, this might seem small however I am not yet too confident with HuSNG's, and this thread is also to discover if I do well at them, this brings me onto the topic of reg speed games and turbo's. So far I am 15-6 at the $5 reg speeds and 17-10 at the $6, a very low sample, so after a say 200 games with both mixed, I think I will be closer to determine which one I am more confident and better in. One major thing I need to work on is controlling tilt, usually if I moved up stakes and taking a shot didn't work I didn't move down.
Does anyone recommend purchasing any software/HUD/subsciption? I haven't ever used one, only the trial of PokerTracker3.
I am going to go play some games now, I will update when I finish!

Played 15 games so far won 5, ran terribly, how do you play vs a player, that either limps or raises 2x every hand, calls every raise, bets every street? And calls any bet with mainly anything. EG. i have AJs i raise on the button 3x and he calls flop 589, if i continue bet he will call and same on river so I cannot, and waiting for good hands took some time and most of them missed! Another player just kept over betting and getting luck, maybe just wasn't my day
Games played 15 $5.25's
Won: 5
Bankroll: $109.77

Lost another 3 and went 1-1 at the $6 turbos, I must say i did start tilting a little, however it wasn't as bad as it once used to be, where I would end up playing a $20 or $30 to get it bad, tomorrow is a new day and I will give it a shot then!
Bankroll is down to $93, but I am sort of proud of myself that i managed to stop it there.

Well done boyo. We all have days like that and it is hard to stop. Your certainly going the right way to moving up levels. One pointer for you is as well as putting in the hours playing, studying the game is also a vital element in developing your game.

Be patient and really tighten up preflop. If he wants to play for stacks on every hand you want to be reaching the flop with hole cards that make good top pairs. No need to make any plays or steals, just wait till you hit tp+ and get it all in.

Hey guys well, I might or might not play later this evening, however thanks for your replies. I guess I should have tightened up versus his range however it was frustrating just having any hand or pot stolen to small raises, and seeing my stack slowly get slower I felt like playing back at him. The funny thing is that I played 3 game versus this guy and the first game first hand I have QT spades and raise in pos, he calls flop is J94 with 2 spades, he auto bets pot I call, then pot again on the river which is a J. I don't think most people would bet pot if they turned trips. River is a K, he pushes all in and pushes all in. I win and see what he had, it was 27o . after I stopped playing yesterday decided to watch another 3 videos of Brokerstar playing, I have never really played small ball and I think I will try it out. Usually I am very aggressive and I get pot committed easier and sometimes it s hard to fold a made hand that by the turn or river isn't likely to get payed off anymore.

Hey Guys, I have been playing the $5.25 HuSNG's and my roll dipped below 75, i think 69 dollars so decided to move down to the $2's, proud of myself that I managed to do that first time ever, My score at them today has been 22 wins 9 losses, I will now not take a shot at the 5's at $75 but at 20 buy ins, so $105, I cannot play all days due to work but I will grind when I can and hopefully update also.
My roll stands at $89
Progress at $2.15's : 22-9

Hey guys, due to my fiancee sending herself money from my account to her on Full tilt to play my roll went down a little.
Progress at the $2.15's: 39 wins 21 losses
Bankroll: $90.42
Will be taking shots at the $5's at $105, it does actually seem a while till I hit that number, and I know I am better than most of my opponents that I play, however I lack confidence that I will be successful.
I am trying to post an Image however I am not sure how to, I get to the part where I upload on Imageshack and from there do not know what to do or which code to use.

You don't need to use imageshack or any to post a graph here.
You can see "attach file" link under the text box (when you post a reply)
Just click it and browse the file you want to attach and click "Upload File"
Easy as drinking beer

Thank You FunkMastah, I'm at work till late today but I will hopefully upload the graph which shows I'm knee deep in shit tomorrow. Hopefully I can turn it around

Pretty impressive huh?
Well this is the overall graph for around 2 years, the Last set of games where I found tagpoker is actually where I started watching videos and reading a lot on this site and started taking every game more seriously. These games are at $2

Hey guys, I had around 100 left and after being very drunk I came back home and played a $50 Husng and a $30 Husng and pretty much busted my roll, I barely remembered the following day but ow well. Anyways I have topped up back to a $100 and reset my sharkscope graph so the negative figures don't put me off.
Its a fresh start and I will be grinding the $5's until I have $250 where I will take shots at the $10s. However volume is a sort of problem due to having a fiancee and full time job, and also sometimes I do not feel confident after busting my roll so many times and have to force myself to play sometimes, I feel scared a little. I am just wondering if anyone could watch me play and walk me through or help out on skype or vice versa, if I could watch someone play. I have really messy working hours that vary and would only be able to give late notice as to when a skype session and games would go forth, however I would really appriciate it.

using a 25BI rule is very solid imo put don't worry about volume to much and definatly don't play unless you want to as you'll never be in the right mind set
if you want a sweat just add people on skype and then ask nicly, were all friendly here and if some one is free there watch you

Thank you so much for the reply BMM, this site is amazing due to all the friendly participants, compared to the constant sarcasm at 2p2.
Would you or anyone else know of any free software that is helpful/useful or would you recommend getting any software that I would have to pay for?
Thanks!

I feel your pain, I got the full-time job fiancee AND a 6 month old baby. I try to grind at 5-7am (the only time the house is quiet!).
Never force yourself to play, you need to have the right frame of mind & forcing yourself to do anything just isn't going to work long term. Work on a schedule that works for you, focus is key when playing.
Good luck Sir.

Hey guys, thank you for your replies, I have played around 50 HuSNG's and lost a touch more than won, but due to mainly playing a bit tilted and 2 tabling so thats bad news.
I played a $11 rush on demand tournament and came first so +$749, I am just planning how much I should cash out and I am thinking of maybe getting trained by Broker however my schedule is really packed in the next few weeks so would have to start a bit later.
I really do not know what strategy suits me best and which one is most profitable in the HuSNG format, I change from Tag to Lag, and even try small ball however I am woeful at that, as if i limp most pots and I don't hit which is most of them time, I don't know when to take jabs at a pot or when I do hit how to build pots up.
Anyways BR is at $826 due to the big win

SS has been having problems with FTP since around the 5th. They say they're working on it on their forums but no ETA as to when it will be working 100% again.
